Thats just 6 lbs more than what Ortiz in the ring, and we all saw how that went down. Ortiz also wouldn't have gassed 6 rounds into the fight. Trout, kept Canelo honest the entire fight by throwing arm punches, Floyd is going to dig into that ass #MONEYTEAM

    It depends on the circumstances.

Floyd best make sure the arrangements are air tight if he signs to fight Nelo. Nelo is more protected than a **** inside a condom. I'm getting crazy thoughts of Floyd and Al Haymon also being in on last night's robbery. Throw Trout some money under the table and sacrifice his 0 to hype up a potential Mayweather-Nelo clash later this year. I've seen Trout call Nelo a punk ass for lesser things, crashing his final presser with Cotto, yet he goes house on us when he gets robbed.

My guess is Nelo goes into ducking Floyd after what Floyd does to Guerrero. He'll try the ageing Floyd out the tactic. If this is what Nelo does and Floyd is really too old by then, Floyd should say **** him. Neither Nelo or his fans would deserve the honor.

If they fight within a reasonable amount of time or Floyd has good longevity, Floyd schools him. Nelo's **** stamina and faulty footwork betrays him. Floyd can dictate the fight with his jab to the head and body. Nelo's would become a limited puncher trying one shot at a time.

Nelo isn't in Floyd's league skill wise, speed wise, INTELLIGENCE wise, ACCURACY wise, FOOTWORK wise, AGILITY wise, and STAMINA wise.

The potential upside for Nelo would be his size as you pointed out and possibilities to add improvements. He's a student of the game, but he'll only become so good with his limitations. I ultimately see Nelo at around the Miguel Cotto level if things go well for him.

The big question is how does Floyd adjust to age from here on out? While I don't see him fighting well into his late fourties like Hopkins, no one does, I'm confident he still has a good chunk of time at the top. Marquez, who has taken way more punishment than Floyd, is going strong at 39. War torn Mosley could still compete at the top level till 39, and he's no technician. Floyd is only 36 and will be 37 next year. Other technicians like Hopkins and Marquez demonstrated you can go beyond that.

Floyd's father will bring the jab back which is a step in the right direction. Nelo backers are betting heavily on age.

    Signing in.

Anyone catch the media workout? A reporter asked Floyd about Canelo and Floyd said he wasn't thinking of that at the moment. That's really the only fight at 154 for Floyd.

I'm willing to bet he let's it marinate for a year and it happens next Cinco de Mayweather.

I'll tell you after May 4th :good

I actually think yes as of now, but it all depends on how he looks physically in his next fight.

    Good ****. :deal

Floyd has too many different tactics to keep Canelo from finding any type of rhythm. He reconstructs his face to a wide decision if he isn't caught with a pulverizing shot that would in all likelihood take him completely out of his element, though I don't think he'd necessarily need to be flawless. Canelo takes off too much time during rounds, and the openings he's given to capitalize on are already going to minimal.

I've been reading that Saul doesn't hit that hard.....Mosley said he and Floyd hit about equal.

He has heavy hands, but the actual impact of his punches are overrated. Trout has a below average chin.

Then Trout has a weak chin, friend. Canelo couldn't even get in range most of the night. There was no sustained pressure or gradual breakdown that wore on him to be bothered as often as he was. And he was bothered.

Possibly. I mean, Cotto has no right hand whatsoever so we didn't get to see it. Trout against Rodriguez was awful, we never got to see a real chin display by Trout.

Canelo would have his hands full with Cotto.
