Let's explore this though, is Andre Ward chinny? he got dropped by a journeyman, Nevan Pajcic and Steve Cunningham are both miles better than the guy who dropped Ward and had his legs like jelly

I don't particularly care for Fury at all, but what I'll say is that was an absolute peach of a punch. Any professional fighter, especially over 200+ of athletic muscle can put someone away. KO ratios aren't all about power, they're also about finishing instinct, accuracy, commitment to a shot and many other variables. I'd never wanna let Cunningham hit me with any shot.

I'm just saying getting dropped twice by big overhand rights at heavyweight (yet still getting up to knock the other guy out) doesn't make a guy glass jawed

 

Super heavyweights aren't supposed to get dropped by old, blown-up cruiser weights. Peach punches or not.

 

exactly, and overhand rights, despite being a seemingly "basic punch" are very very hard to see coming, they are also THE hardest punch you can throw, without a doubt

he got dropped, hard, but he got up, and he won, it has happened before to many many great fighters, its not his chin thats worrying, its how open he is to that shot

 

Fury's chin seems average. He's taken good shots before and still stood fine, and has gotten up, unphased, to win the two times he's been knocked down in his 21 fights so far. It isn't Khan bad, but not Wach good, that's obvious. Main point here is, Fury shouldn't have even let that shot land, he needs his real trainer in the corner (his trainer couldn't corner him as they discovered at the last minute) to box more and work his defense, not go in there brawling like he used too.

Basically, it wouldn't have happened had he boxed similar to how he did with Kevin Johnson, in my opinion.

This is what i was saying before in another thread, anyone who is not completely feather fisted that throws an overhand punch can knock anyone out, them kind of punches put people to sleep they are much more powerful than a straight, when someone does it and you walk directly into it with no block then get up 5 seconds later your not exactly glass chinned
