But your last post said that the two elements found had to be mixed with water and heated to form the single compound Calcium Sulfate.

in other words that process was never conducted... again how would it form plaster paris being that the ingredients are not even ready to go? how was he going to heat it in his gloves like that?

it would have had to have been done days before with the plaster fully cured. but by then it would have been obvious so obvious that you wouldnt need to send it to a lab

But they just didn't use the right analysis right? I mean, labs don't know how to detect Plaster Of Paris, that they use in forensics right? They knew exactly what they were looking for, but aren't going to use the correct tests to look for it? GTFO

X-ray fluoresence does not detect compounds, it detects elements. Calcium and Sulfur are two elements in plaster of paris. Both were found in the pad.

Put it this way. If we use X-Ray Fluorescence on something we KNOW to be plaster of paris, it will detect calcium and sulfur, not calcium sulfate (it detect elements not compounds).

In other words, Cyrax's argument is misleading.

So using your logic, they were sent hand wraps that were suspected of containing plaster of paris, but they don't use the right test for it? Plaster Of Paris is not hard to detect, now is it? This is something used heavily in forensics, for footprint molds etc. You wanna talk about misleading? How about the fact that we are talking about TRACE ELEMENTS here, that it has been confirmed to be old gauze, and that calcium and sulfur being on a wrap are nothing that extraordinary considering calcium is in finger nails, and sulfur from sweat. Don't act like finding trace elements of those indicates it must be plaster of paris. No calcium sulfate found, they wouldn't allow any independent examination either, case closed.

I disagree with you here, his argument is solid your bringing in a red herring for what ever agenda you do have.

Let me just cut to the chase if he were to use plaster paris in attempt to load his wraps, do you really think they would have had to send it to a lab?

Wouldnt the evidence be clear enough to the look and touch that they could openly state their case show the evidence and it be proven with out needing to go to a lab?

and their only findings were "Minor Trace elements" do you understand what that means?
there wasnt enough of anything to do any type of damage

Always has been. Let it also be noted that no one has produced a legit source that states that it was merely traces of these elements either. Food for thought.

no, read what it says. "an elemental analysis is performed and reported as the compound". Elemental, as in atomic elements, like calcium and sulfur. Now, look at the table where it says "calcium sulfate". Scan over to the column labeled "qualitative analyte(s)" -- and what does it say?

    "Ca, S"

Yes, Calcium and Sulfur. Two of the three elemental constituents of calcium sulfate.

You got a source that says it was trace elements?

To the TS, excellent post and congrats of being part of the 10% who believes Margo didn't cheat (like me) according to an ESB poll just over 2 years ago.

To all of those who still think he cheated against Cotto. Watch how every HBO commentator said that if the fight was going at the pace it was going, Margo sooner or later was going TO STOP COTTO.

But cyrax, despite those facts you brought on the Mosley fight, that doesn't make him innocent, he still tried to cheat. But an excellent post like I said.

False, Cotto's face became a mess in the 7th round after Margo finally got his first combination of uppercuts in the fight, which hurt Cotto badly.

    :good

This is why the DA backed off of a criminal case, they know damn well their findings would not support a conviction, and that their findings would be subject to an independent examination on behalf of the defense and would be subject to cross examination.

its obvious that he is innocent anybody with a brain can see that.

    what's the red herring, specifically?

And then show me where in the report it says "minor trace elements" were found.

Ask Manny Pacquiao, who was 1-2 punches from being out in the 6th round.
