160, hes too short to be very effective against the long bodied guys above that.

160, will not fare well at 168 unless he becomes a master boxer like he gave us a sample of it yesterday.. and He keeps finessing his skills and his body becomes bulkier... if his Power increases and stamina increases at 160 I can see him giving 168 a shot..

At 168 but he will be well past it physically at that point, combined with much larger/stronger opponents I don't see him ever having as much success there as he has/will at 154.

Probably 168. It's not just about height but body mass. Canelo has some meat on him. If he hangs around late into his 30's, he'll probably fight at 168 or even 175. He's still a growing man and won't fill in until his early 30's.

160...though I don't think he'll have a career that's actually that long. Burn out will settle in.

I think he's one of those guys who's already maxed out physically and is a natural at their weight.

    Much like Kostya Tszyu.

I'd say he'll be a lifelong jr. middle.

    160lbs definitely.
Unlike everybody else, I think he will be past prime by age 29 ish. Venturing into 168lbs will destroy him.

There's not actually that much competition. 160lbs is not that entertaining to me. Martinez will be long gone by the time Canelo moves up. Canelo-Chavez Jr will be huge.

Who is he realistically going to fight at 154lbs in the next 3-5 years?
Cotto, Mayweather, Lara, Angulo, Trout 2, maybe Thurman
    Anyone else?
