You Brit's find it funny? Almost every Brit here would have a ****in canarie as soon as you mention Fury and Ireland. Like Macklin.
Dublin and the east coast "pale" area in general has traditionally (well for 800+ years) had a very large English settlement, it's no surprise that there would be much shared DNA there. The study I mentioned earlier, was irish dna samples taken pretty much exclusively, from the west coast, which is quite a bit different.
This is my normal account - when you haven't posted all that much you post count as a point fact tends to be low  You're just asserting they're wrong - that's called confirmation bias. If you're too biased to accept any science or little things we call 'facts' then that's your problem and nobody else; but please, don't take a huge dump in the well of knowledge then try and pass it off as spring water - if you don't like facts then stick to fiction.
So I see now, yeah. On boxrec it said otherwise, but fair enough. I'm also English with Irish heritage, so whatever he chooses to represent (seems to be different every month) I'll support him, I love the guy!
kinda , 1st thing i thought when he grabbed the mike and sang :rofl what a ****,english irish or outa mongolian,he is a ****,end off story . and who ****ing cares anyhow:deal
The Paddy's aren't half a sensitive bunch aren't they? Same way the England cricket team is made up of South Africans, they're best fighters aren't even really Irish yet tell them that and they get their knickers in a twist.
I'm not even hating on Fury, I just think it's hilarious that the Brits and Irish are fighting over him like two fellas after the same girl. All this stuff like "his dad was born in Ireland (he wasn't according to public records) so that makes Tyson Irish too". It's ****ing ridiculous.
Did you read this thread backwards or something? The people getting all upset about him saying he was Irish is the Brits.
You see my point. All the Irish are saying in here is he is free to represent who he wants whilst I have just shown how much some brits get their knickers in a twist about it.
You seem to reply strongly to every comment that say's he's Irish. Pot and Kettle thing goin on here. Muppet.
:| Keep crying. I'm not the one clutching at straws insisting his father was born somewhere he wasn't.
I just get why so many people are pissed off instead of just laughing at it? I was annoyed at Fury myself for saying it at first but now that I think it about some more it is a bit like "if he's that sad then let him play up this plastic paddy angle." It's obvious what it is. Fighters like Fury and Macklin and countless others. They play up the Irish angle because they want plastic paddys to support them because they can't get support in their hometown. That's all it is, forget all this "proud of their heritage" bull****. If he was proud of his heritage he'd keep it personal to himself, not flaunt it. British fighters are normally built up in their hometown, especially fighters who aren't from London. 18 months ago Fury fought in a shopping centre in Manchester and the only people there to see him were late night shoppers. Clearly caught on to the fact he's not a draw in Manchester so they went with the sad old Irish angle. He didn't always fight with shamrocks and green shorts remember? Loads of fighters do it and in most cases it's just cringey in my opinion. It would be the same if some bloke said he represented the ancient warriors of Sparta because he has a tattoo. If anything it's a reason to laugh at them for being so desperate for fanfare but not something to get downright angry about like some are. What's also annoying me is how defensive some Irishman are getting on here. Seem to think us Brits hate them and don't want to see them have good fighters. It's not like that at all. I personally don't have anything against Ireland. I'd support an Irish fighter (a true Irish fighter) if I liked how he fought. Would the Irish support a Brit though? Not as often as you'd think. It's same to a lesser extent with Scots and Welsh supporting English fighters. Discrimination against the Irish was rife in the 60s and 70's but it's none existent now pretty much. Stop getting defensive just because a Brit thinks it dumb that a fighter wants to represent them because his hometown isn't interested in him.
