Why do people say Canelo landed the heavier blows when it was 95 to 96 in power shots

Does Paulie Malignaggi lose every fight on your card?

Fights are scored round by round, who landed more clean shots don't mean ****, Canelo landed good in the rounds he won but then did jack**** in others

then any shot landed without power should never count as much as one delivered with malice well then everyone please shut the **** up about DLH vs Trinidad or Whitaker vs Chavez or DLH. also Malianaggi has never won a fight. Joe Calzaghe and a lot of Juan Manuel Marquez **** vs Pac is insignificant you cant have it both ways.

I was simply answering his question as to why people are saying Canelo landed the heavier blows. I didn't say anything about how it should be scored.

Because most people actually watched the fight and regardless what the punch stats say, it was clear who landed the harder shots.

BC he was landing the clean hard shots while Trout looked like he was scare to step in with his shots.

You don't have to score blindly either for power or volume. I think you have can distinguish between 1) a glancing, partially blocked, or very soft punch that is still better than nothing 2) a solid, clean, scoring punch, and 3) a punch that has a lot of force and moves or wobbles the opponent.

Someone like Paulie, or Malik Scott or, on a different night, Austin Trout can win with nice, clean scoring punches, even if they don't have as much power as the other guy. I will disagree with someone who wants to discount those kinds of punches. Especially, if they just kind of assume that the power puncher's shots count more without much visual evidence. Adamek/Cunningham was a good example of this.

Here, a lot of Trout's punches are from the first category. Partially blocked, slipped, rolled with, arm punches, etc. Not all of them, but many. Meanwhile, Canelo had lots of power shots and even heavy jabs that knocked Trout down, wobbled him or clearly moved him back.

Compubox count anything outside of a jab a power punch, regardless of the power in the actual punch.

Glancing blows and head snapping blows are worth the same in compubox.

Explain to me why a boxing fan who has been watching for 35 years doesn't know what a power punch is according to compu box (anything other than a jab regardless of how damaging) from an actual true clean/power punch that is seen by observers.

I know some people are slow learners but 35 years. Wow!

Rounds are scored, not total number of shots landed.
