Klompton still posts here as Lord Tywin, he'll swear blind it's not him but they make many of the same points and have the same patronising manner. Klompton has discussed Game of Thrones on here as well.

Jeffries-Sharkey II was considered by many to be the greatest HW championship fight ever.

Solly Krieger-Oscar Rankins was a great fight too.

John Henry Lewis-Al Gainer was great AND significant. Boxer vs slugger. Back and forth action. 1st championship fight featuring two black contenders in ages.

    I am with you.

My top ten (Not that these are the best, but these fights I would watch anytime)

    1. Castillo - Corrales I (Beautiful combinations on the inside all the way through)
    2. Ward - Gatti I (Pure guts and glory)
    3. Duran - Barkley (Skill and experience against rage and revenge)
    4. Chavez - Taylor I (Firepower versus Relentlessness)
    5. Morales - Barrera I (Hate fueled pain)
    6. Holyfield - Bowe I (This is what it looks like when two tip-top heavy's bang away)
    7. Robinson - LaMotta VI (Patience)
    8. Leonard - Duran I (Hard Lesson on fighting in the streets)
    9. Carbajal v Gonzalez (Hang in there/ Never surrender)
    10. Pryor - Arguello I (What do I have to hit this guy with)

    11. Gomez v Pintor (I guess we are going to do this the hard way)

I consider the Ward-Gatti fights overrated. I'd rather watch fighters with Gatti's guts and excitement at the top level, and not getting into wars with journeyman.

F'n great scraps no doubt but not at the very top end IMO.

I agree with on the ward/gatti fight being overrated

the 2nd two are way overrated but no1 was a pretty awesome fight.

i finished the book today, some of the writing doesn't make sense but flea man's are all good

not sure theres an argument that shooting up helped ayala fight.

there were a couple sentances that werent finished then the next one started, maybe the editing not the writing.

i was halfway through when i rememberd your name but the greb walker one definatly touched all the points and gives a decent view of the fight.

'boon, 4 inches shorter was totally outboxed for the first 7 rounds as danahar. His left eye closing rapidly, Eric knew danahar had......'

edit, i seen it on checkhook, not stalking u

Honestly, I thought Gomez's most egregious fouls there were his elbows in that one. He resorted to that a lot if his foes proved stubborn, which is unfortunate.

You are not alone. Was going to say something but was afraid I would get pummeled. Awesome, great 1st round, but after that Hearns had no legs and was pretty well done.

the fight was basically over as soon as hearns broke his hand, but the 1st was so awesome i think the fight deserves its reputation
