30+lbs advantage? Sound's like Jeffries, except that would be up to nearly 60lbs in some cases! Which 200lbs heavyweights did Jeffries throw around? Yet you call him exceptionally strong:think
Johnson's challengers were on average 20lbs heavier than Jeffries challengers they were also, apart from Jeffries not coming out of retirement has beens in their middle to late 30's
Johnson put Jeffries arms up his back, and walked him backwards into his own corner , asking Corbett" where he wanted him"? It's a matter of public record. Tex Rickard the referee said Johnson was Jeffries master in every department right from the off, a statement concurred with by Bob Fitzsimmons who was ringside.

I bought my first fight films the old super 8mm from Blackhawk, over 40 years ago, some years before you were hatched.
Johnson gave ground voluntarily its so apparent ,it is not even up for argument. He let Jeffries come to him as he did every one he fought.
Jack Jeffries was not 200lbs plus,The guy who toyed with brother Jack was Johnson himself, who kicked the **** out of him, picked his unconscious form up dragged him back to his corner ,and told his brother," I can do this to you too".

Johnson had not trouble controlling Sharkey when he was his sparring partner and was sacked because he kept embarrassing Sailor Tom.
The fact that Johnson's fights against others are not available for viewing does not mean they did not happen.

Your opening remarks do not make any grammatical sense, so I can't respond to them.No change there then.
What would you know about bending arms back in actual fights you've never had one?:patsch

What's the difference between physically strong and physically powerful?

  10. Johnson is clearly , de stronger man . Cassius Clay was , often
pushed around de ropes by the likes , of sum1 lik3 ,
    Sony B@nk$ , Folley , some1 who did , not have @ny bizness @gainst , some1 as gr8 as "clay" .

    Clay was 1 vry over,rated,
    fighter IMHO . ,
Glass jaw , no power , arm punching , etc .
    Overated .

I'm not an expert on oldschool boxing but my takeon this is that Johnson was pretty clearly stronger. Ali wasn't weak but I think it's more hi IQ which made him so succesful tying up opponents (plus he wasn't small for a HW) but Johnson was just really strong I mean really strong it was a different era and they didn't train the way even guys like Ali train let alone how boxers today train but he was ridiculously strong I wouldn't be surprised if he had strength of a Foreman level if he trained like the guys in Ali's time did he was just huge and strong for his era

What are we basing our decision on who was stroger on? This isn't weightlifting where it's easy to determine who is stronger simply by seeing who can lift a certain weight and who can't. Ali and Johnson were both strong individuals who could hold thier own in the clinches and then some. If they both had to lift a barbell overhead i'd go with Johnson. Shorter limbed and more stocky with dense musculature but we're talking boxing here and Ali was pretty strong in the ring as well. Big with long arms that could wrap an opponent up and hold him. He had all the strength he needed in there. If we're talking absolute limit strength I'd say Johnson but Ali had plenty of functional strength regardless of how much weight he could lift.

The clear answer for me has always been johnson... but obviously some disagree which is fine. The only thing I can't accept is that Ali was manhandling foreman and liston in there... That NEVER happened and is total fan fiction.
