I fell asleep on fight night (shame on me) and haven't had a chance to see it yet. When I do, I'm hoping not watching in the heat of the moment will give me a chance to take a level headed approach to scoring it, although I think I'm usually fairly on the ball anyway. Looking forward to it.

Edit: about to watch it right now.

9-3 Trout if you give him 1+3 which were really close.
You can't win a fight fighting 40 seconds a round...especially if you can't limit the other guy from outthrowing, outlanding, and consistently backing you up.

Team Slick Black: Press Row Scores and Fan Scores are total ****ing horse**** when they're split on Pacquiao-Marquez III or 99.99% in favor of Manny wide on Pacquiao-Bradley; the press and fans DKSAB! This forum knows the truth!!!

*Trout loses to Canelo: Press Row Scores and Fans are the mother****ing truth!!! This forum DKSAB!

Just stick with a consistent approach, please. Thanks.

I will. I've watched 5 rounds and so far have it 2 a piece with the 3rd even. I hate giving even rounds but there's really no way to split them in the 3rd, it's that close.

The more time one spends on ESB, the more little trends become interesting.

Out of curiousity, I'd love to know who the current "clean and effective blows" crowd had winning B-Hop vs Calzaghe and Marquez vs Pac 3 etc. :yep

Canelo barely got past his first real test. Time for celebration!

The clear implication of this thread is that the press row scores/fan scores somehow mean Trout got the better of Canelo. Not so coincidentally, fans and press row scores that don't line up with the biases of Team Slick Black are completely ignored whenever they don't support their fighters of choice/cut against guys they dislike.

    http://boxrec.com/media/index.php?title=Fight:1595865

57 for Marquez, 51 for Manny, 36 for a Draw. Hardly a commanding Marquez majority.

    http://boxrec.com/media/index.php?title=Fight:1656951

121 for Manny, 1 for Bradley, 1 for Draw.

    ESB Poll Results from Pac-Bradley:

    http://www.boxingforum24.com/poll.php?do=showresults&pollid=31553

ESB Poll Results from Pac-Marquez III:

    http://www.boxingforum24.com/poll.php?do=showresults&pollid=27656

In other words, there is a clear discrepancy in both situations between the ESB polls and the fan/press row scores. The ESB polls are referenced all the time where Pac-JMM III is concerned; the press row scores and fan opinions are nowhere to be found in the Team Slick Black arguments about why the guy they wanted to win didn't win. Ditto for Bradley; the press row scores are never brought up; instead, a tiny, vocal ESB minority larger than the Bradley scores in the press argues tooth and nail that the result wasn't a disgrace. Most of those guys who voted for Bradley in the poll are Floyd fans/Pac Haters. Not a coincidence.

    ESB Poll Results from Canelo-Trout:

    http://www.boxingforum24.com/poll.php?do=showresults&pollid=36677

In this case, a clear ESB majority favors the Ginger, so Team Slick Black must resort to pulling previously disregarded/unused concepts like fan/press row scoring to justify why their guy should have won.

Like I said, just be consistent.

yet another TS lost his avatar bet resulting to a complaint thread.... how many more threads must we suffer from them lol?

Ive got Canelo edging out Trout on the win....
Honestly, if you erased all of Trout's jab spam, he really didnt amount to much, even on the rounds Alvarez took off. He got in a few good counter punches, but thats about it.

Spam jabbing can really hold so much water dude. It wasnt even really an effective jab for the most part, but employed just to maintain distance so Alvarez couldnt close in and drop burst combos. He did get off some good body jabs. But it was very apparent that when and if Alvarez through punches, they had a direct effect. Those were obviously rated much heavier than a bundle of pitty-patty jabs...

All my guy friends also agree that Alvarez edged out Trout. I think alot of peeps were seriously over-hyping Alvarez with the expectaton of a blow-out on ESB, but i knew that it was going to be a compelling and close fight.
