Cotto was a great fighter @147, but at this stage Canelo stops Miguel, anyone think different??

Cotto's brother had a young Canelo on ***** street. canelo has **** endurance and cant fight 3 minutes of a rd I think Cotto might and its a big might be able to work this guy usinghis boxing skill...Coto can play chess at a pace that's good for him, however one must consider the robbery exponent when facing Canelo Golden boy

Nah. Cutto is too past it now. I'd like to see Martinez come down and school him though. Too much activity for Canelo and those lefts to the body would shut his already shitty activity down.

    140lb Cotto > 147lb Cotto > 154lb Cotto.

Definitely possible. Cotto would be much more effective coming forward than Trout was. Depends on what shape he's in.

I give him a better chance than what is the consensus pick here that Canelo runs through him.

Cotto would clearly be the underdog, but it could be a highly entertaining fight. The Cotto of 5 years ago (pre first Margo fight) would likely be favored over Alvarez.

Canelo too big, too fast, too strong for MAC right now. And Miguel STILL a sucker for those uppercuts. It'd be a one sided beatdown. Canelo been training with GGG FFS. He's improved shitloads since then. Cotto could go after Ishe Smith tho.

i dunno but Canelo looks like a nightmare for Cotto to me. Bigger, stronger, hits harder , explosive puncher, etc.

:good agreed. Cotto was a beast at 140. hes just too smell for 154 and been in tons of wars. even tho my heart says i want cotto to drop canelo, the mind says canelo rehydrates to 170+ come fight night, hes younger, hes fresher, has the power, hes taller.

the fight will be just like the cotto vs trout fight but with canelo stalking the smaller war torn cotto.

only chance cotto has is if he can out box, catch canelo with a big shot and go bulls out when he tires out. we all know and saw canelo cant fight for 3 full mins. then again cotto tends to gass out the second half of fights now.

Edge to canelo due to youth and size alone. and this fight will mostlikely happen next.
