Just watched Trout-Canelo for the 1st time - Scores and Notes

You need to rewatch that round from the knock down Canelo was the aggressor and landed about 5 or 6 more right hands a body shot a left hook was also in there, he controlled the round up until the 2 min mark.

Then you had Trout who fought back a little but from the 2 min mark up to the 2 min and 30 mark and did not land enough or anything significant to even out the round.

Canelo finished that round strong landed another right hand up stairs and closed it out with a solid right hand to the body, You are trying to make a case for 30 seconds of work that wasnt really that great of work for Trout no way you can call that 10-9

please re watch that round

 

Because Showtime said he did more than he actually did as did the fan boys here.

 

Trouts a tuff cat I like the guy classy at that gave Canelo his just due.... didnt complain about it simply said he will be back bigger and better.

The Showtime commentary was awful... I mean it was like they were looking to give any and all close arguable rounds to Trout.

either way, the fight was fun to watch, I never expected Canelo to box like that, but wasnt shocked either... he brought in a style that Trout was unaware Canelo had the ability to do.

 

and if the 3rd round that you scored even was given to Canelo.... the scores are wider but could you call this a robbery? **** no

 

I think this is proof that broadcast crews influence us all.

I try my darnest to question everything I feel a broadcaster saying is'nt quite true, but sometimes they do plant a seed and it grows in your mind.

No biggie SJ, it happens to us all. Nice of you to admit that you may have over credited Trouts work and was admiring his bravery, which indeed he was.

 

Anybody who has is 9-3 cant be taken seriously I mean lets just keep it ****in real 9-3 for Trout is bull****

They do influence us as viewers, they do plant those seeds, Bravery doesnt win rounds it wins hearts of fans which tends to lead to emotional score cards

 

Have to agree with this, although i had Trout winning the fight, round 7 was a clear 10-8 round for Canelo, he landed several shots after, i remember reading about people saying it shoulda been a 10-9 so i rewatched it, Trout did jack**** in that round was a clear 10-8
The 12th round was one of Trout's best, I remember thinking at the time of the fight Trout needs a big round and he got it, Canelo didnt even try to win that round
