Doesn't matter what he does, he's shite. Sometimes you can tell fairly quickly if a prospect fighter has IT or doesn't have it. He doesn't have it, not in my opinion.
I wouldn't call him shite, he's decent. He shows flashes of real quality, but only in little bursts. A lot of great fighters have looked less impressive then Eubank Jr early in they're career.
He lacks power, but has been matched very tough for prospect. Add the fact he had limited amateur experience and i wouldnt write him off
I suppose you're right yeah. I honestly don't think he'll go far though. Look at the middleweight and super-middleweight divisions on this country. He's going to have to do some serious improving.
People love to hate on anybody that gets a bit of publicity. Eubank Jnr, Tom Stalker, Frank Buglioni all get slated on here based on early fights against journeyman, and it seems there unfairly judged due to promoter hype more than anything else. ESB is very good at picking out popular fighters faults rather than looks at there good points and understanding they will probably be working on what they do wrong. If you just read ESB and didn't watch fights you would think Floyd Mayweather was **** and never faced anybody and the only reason he has been an undefeated world champion for 16 years is because he has been matched carefully through 6 weight divisions. I remember people on here adamant Jon Thaxton & John Murray would beat Amir Khan with ease and that he would never make it beyond domestic level. Most people said the same about Carl Froch, Ricky Burns and Nathan Cleverly. There are the best 4 fighters in the country right now. Think we need to remember sometimes that it's very rare that you see fighters until they get to title level and they shouldn't be judged as finished articles until then. Remember that Eubank Jnr has allot of pressure on his shoulders. No other fighter has had there first 10 fights in front of that big an audience since Khan and there no other fighter is carrying there fathers name. I would take more notice of whats said in the gyms from sparring and plenty of fighters & trainers have said he is a serious talent.
:happy very good post. I think people look to hate a fighter for whatever reason and refuse to see anything positive in them, cleverly and Eubank jr 2 great examples yet these are young hungry unbeaten fighters with not a great deal of amateur experience. Your better than that paulie:good
Really is too early to say with Eubank jr everything he does or doesn't do will be compared to his father is fair. Eubank jr will sooner rather than later be asked to move up because he is not a big ticket seller .Stalker & Buglioni can be moved slower regardless of age esp in Stalkers case they will sell tickets Eubank jr doesn't.
In 2012 he was fighting ever 6-8 weeks, he hasn't fought once in 2013. Either he's injured or something isn't right with his team.
perhaps after 6 fights his team have seen areas that need working on and they are are addressing these faults.
He was on boxrec to be fighting on the Fury undercard Saturday, but it got took down 2 weeks ago-around the time it was announced that 5 were showing Fury. Defo needs to be back out soon though, lots to learn and only one way to do it
After a good 2012 there's no harm in some gym time problem is there's no clear sign of when he's back and what direction he's heading in. For me i felt he needed some time in gym, away from spotlight a little and develop a few things. He still could get a good 4-5 fights from the year but wouldn't hold breath currently.
Needs to improve his power to be a threat at the top level, but at his age he has ample time to do this Actually bumped into him on friday at a nightclub in brighton and had a biref chat with him.. Seemed very determined, but also a nice bloke
