floyd and margo were both tr at one time, floyd was offered the biggest purse for his career at that point to fight margo and floyd turned it down....fact.

cherrypicking in terms of boxing is fighting the lesser threat that is available within your weight range.

Great resume. Could be BETTER. But still great. There are a lot of guys who have had and will have a better legacy than Floyd. At best he's a top 30 ATG at this point in time. At worst maybe top 40-50. I don't see how you can argue against that. If you do then there's a 99% chance you are a hateful ***** who will never give credit to the fighters you hate.

c'mon even you cannot deny what was going on at that time. PBF wanted to fight Oscar, Arum refused to make the fight (because he Oscar had a bad breakup) so PBF was looking at getting away from Arum to fight Oscar. Arum knew Floyd was angling to fight Oscar for years, he also knew that he was trying to get from under his contract so he made the myth of Margo. A fight with Margo does not get him closer to Oscar but a fight with the lineal champ does. So yes, PBF and Margo were under top rank at one time but Arum only wanted to push that fight (that he knew would never happen) because he wanted to push Margo. Truth is Margo would not only do anything for floyds push for oscar but it would do zero for his resume.

Also, at that time, people were claiming that floyd ducked Baldy to fight Zab (forget the fact that he a deal to fight him already) and this fight made PBF as much as the proposed Margo fight. After Baldy he said he was worn down and he was going to retire after one more fight . . . that was Oscar. but it was two because he fought he got another huge payday with Ricky that was a lot more than the measly 8mil uncle bob was putting out there to fight Margo.

it turned out that Margo was even more of a fraud than people thought and got his ass handed two him as soon as he no longer could use his "secret weapons"!

Floyd got 8million for the Baldomir. That was his first fight after he bought out his contract and left Bob Arum. If he still ended getting an 8million dollar purse, how the **** is that duck, not too mention he got the his shot at the richest fight in boxing history whihc made him a superstar.

The point is that you have to account for the time and weight the fights were held. The Mosley he faced was far worse than the Mosley Cotto faced. JMM hadn't moved up in weight yet. Hatton was a smaller guy when Floyd's own division was stacked.

If you just look at the names, Berbick over Ali and Joe Cal over Roy Jones look great.
