Vitali should go over and smash Velasquez up. He's done kickboxing and wrestling in the Soviet system.

Just having "Done Wrestling" doesn't mean you can just go over to the UFC and start ****ing around.

Some boxing fans on here really need to take their heads out of their arse and give some respect to the MMA guys.

There's OLYMPIC CALIBRE wrestlers in the UFC, do you really think just having "Done Wrestling" qualifies you to tangle with those guys?

I've "Done Boxing" before....Maybe I should go fight Wlad Klitschko eh?

All you need to do is get him down then the submissions and ground and pound will destroy him.

Boxing is at least 50% of mma, dude. Vit has done kickboxing and wrestling. I'd have no doubt he'd smash all of them easy. Complete pugilist novices are on UFC contracts like Matt Mitreone, the skill level is overplayed. Jon Jones only took three years from scatch to be mma champ.

It's a case of an MMA fighter would get battered in the ring but a boxer would get battered in the cage.

The guy who was champion before Cain Velasquez, a Brazilian called Junior Dos Santos, he said he wanted to fight the Klitschkos in a boxing match because he had trained for boxing before. Then he went and got battered on his feet by Cain Velasquez who's more of a wrestler anyway.

Athletes with delusions of crossing sports and doing well are utter loons. Two completely different things. You can't be good at one thing and assume you are or can be great at the other. I've yet to see one person who's done both professionally and made a real success of it.

Boxing is most certainly NOT 50% of MMA, dude.

You've got knees, elbows, kicks, submissions, wrestling, takedown defence etc etc boxing is NOWHERE NEAR 50% of MMA, not even close.

You really don't seem to understand MMA.

If Vitali gets taken down to the ground (which he would) he would have literally ZERO chance of stopping a submission or defending against ground and pound.

Your telling me world class BJJ Blackbelts like Werdum, Nogueira or Mir would have ANY problem submitting a complete novice at BJJ?

Stop being a boxing fanboy and look at the situation properly, you can't just walk into MMA as a boxer with no takedown defence, minimal wrestling and absolutely ZERO submission skills and expect to win.

Vitali, Fury, it doesn't matter, they'd both get killed.

    Yep.

Dos Santos would of got absolutely humiliated by Wlad Klitschko in a boxing match.

I'm glad to see a post with some common sense, not like some idiots who think you can just cross over into different sports and dominate with no training.

Geezer, you are the mma fanboy. I state again, Matt Mittreone, a complete pugilist novice, was handed a UFC contract and has won most of his bouts against complete bums also on UFC contracts. Velasquez is a chinless tin can that wouldn't take one half shot from a mit handed Klitschko. He would be stone dead in seconds. And change that avatar to some mmgay hero you fraud!

    I'm an MMA fanboy :huh

Right, You know Junior Dos Santos has the best boxing in the UFC Heavyweight division?

Well, Wladimir Klitschko would make him look ****ing STUPID in a boxing match, he'd literally box his head off.

Dos Santos wouldn't stand a chance.

I'm not a fanboy of ANYTHING.

I just possess common sense, you don't just cross over to other people's sports and dominate.

Like I say, it's common ****ing sense.
