To those who doubted Canelo before and said he's a hypejob, where are you now?

I agree. Pure hype, little substance
Martinez would bring Canelo down to earth too :hat

    Kinda silly thread this.

Canelo was unproven. Now he is proven.

    That's the fight game.

Trout won canelo was too inactive in most rounds.

Besides which whoever said Trout was anything special ? he potshotted a washed up cotto other than that his claim to fame isn't much.

    Super close.

I had it 6-6 so 114-113 that makes my card I think.

Should definitely be a rematch though, was a good fight. Trout's activity against canelo's sharpshooting. I enjoyed it. Watched it twice now.

I should watch it again. Canelo definitely proved he is elite but his stamina is worrying. He can't continue coasting through rounds and taking whole rounds off entirely..

That is a bit hard to gauge though since the open scoring told him if he stays on his feet he wins.

whether you scored the Trout fight for Canelo or not, you have to admit the Kid does belong with the top dogs of the division.

He showed he is getting better with each fight, being he is just 22, he will continue to improve.

I wasn't impressed with either fighter that night. Trout showed me his inability to make adjustments, while Canelo showed me how ineffective he was without a human punching bag.

As far as I'm concerned, while Canelo has a credible name on his resume, he still hasn't displayed the type of performance which would rank him in the elites. It doesn't mean, however, that he isn't the best within his weight division. He just doesn't crack into my p4p ranking.
