Alvarez Cotto is a headliner on its own, no undercard status for this fight

Would have liked to see Cotto get a win against a contender first

Good going away fight for cotto win or lose. he has nothing left to prove. If he isn't with pedro diaz any more then I wouldn't take the fight. he was good for cotto.

Cotto is a fool to fight in Texas. Period. Would not do it if I were him.

i think this is a great fight for cotto. and for canelo he will get an opponent floyd just fought and will be able to showcase his skills in a comparable fashion. also this fight will sell and give cotto one last great pay day before he retires. something he deserves after years of getting ****ed by arum.

This typically happens when Cotto is the underdog and not coming off a plaster loss. When he's the favorite he doesn't always perform up to standards.

He lost to plaster Marg as favorite and juiced pac as underdog. He lost to Trout as favorite. He lost to Floyd as dog (put on a great show though).

I think he comes in motivated knowing this is his last hurrah.

I do not see why Cotto is being picked. He has become an opponent. Who has he beaten to get a shot at the title?
