Wilder might be complete and utter ****, but he's not losing to Audley Harrison.

I can't believe how many of you guys are picking Harrison in this fight.

My worry is Audley will be extremely nervous for this fight. Its a huge fight for him. When Audley is nervous he is somewhat "gunshy" with his shots and if he is like that with Wilder then it could be goodnight.

The key to all this is what really happened in the sparring. Audley is not completely stupid, if he took a proper pasting in the sparring with Wilder then in my view there is no way he would have taken the fight.

    Intriguing fight.

I don't get why Audley is suing a newspaper for saying he dropped Wilder in sparring. It's an expensive business to sue and I don't see what grounds he has.

It almost reads like Audley is apologising to Wilder for the rumours.

I don't see Audley beating Wilder. Though Wilder needs to dispose of Audley within 4 rounds if he is going to have any credibility. It's a fight that will get Wilder a bit of exposure here and in Europe. Will anyone, casual fans included, consider this a "move up" for Wilder?

No. Audley is nowhere near anyone's credible ratings. He got blasted out in 1 round by Price, who got blasted out in 2 by Thompson, who was no match for Wladimir Klitschko. That puts Audley firmly in the 'fourth-rate fighter' category, a no-hoper, not many rungs above the dregs of the division that Deontay has already beat.

It's a meaningless fight. Wilder should win, and it's really just bum #28 on his record.
IF ... IF ... Wilder somehow manages to lose, it can't really do much for Audley's status on the world scene because Audley's proven to be miles beneath world-class too many times. Having said that, he seems to have a following among British fans, for whatever reason, so I dunno ...
Audley's 99% likely to lose anyway.

Since winning Prizefighter again, I think Audley gained the TINIEST bit of credibility as a domestic fighter, but in the world scene this fight just has no purpose.

Wilder should win, and if Audley wins, then it ends the same way anyway, because any top 15 opponent will take Audley down.

For me it's who lands first wins, however, both opponents are terrible and both will be dropped sooner or later.

    :rofl this
Once your at heavyweight it doesn't matter about your chin, most guys have one punch knockout power, thing is a lot of fighters get dropped early in their careeers because they weren't doing legit 8 week training camps
We've seen fighters go down early in their career only to not get knocked down again

Deontay Wilder seems like really nice, upbeat guy. Still though, he's a KO waiting to happen. Yanks can laugh at Price being KO'ed by Tony Thompson but TT you've got to remember is a two time world title challenger and had a great KO record himself.

Deontay was dropped by a guy who looked like Butterbean. Seriously, some bloke who looked like he'd just eaten takeaway and smoked a *** before getting in the ring. He dropped Wilder heavy. There's no video but there's a pic floating around, anyone who finds it please post.

There is video...he's called dustin nichols....also video of wilder getting ktfo v a russian when fighting for usa.the russian looked light heavy/cruiser.
When Richard Towers beat Harold Sconiers in a one sided points victory Sconiers said Towers was the best fighter he had fought by a long way....what does that say for deontay ****ing wilder?

Wilder should dispose of Audley early who's just too tentative and vulnerable but if Harrison is considered a massive step up then oh my....... Who has Wilder been fighting?
