As interesting as Clay's book is, it's using a lot of secondary sources. I have about a dozen different next-day reports, plus plenty of write-ups from the following days, discussing that bout.
    Boston Globe - Langford 140, Gans 135 1/4
Boston Herald - Langford close to 141, Gans a trifle over 135
Boston Journal - Langford 2 pounds overweight, while they had to weigh in at 138
Pawtucket Evening Times (probably the report borrowed from Boston Post) - Langford even 140, Gans a few ounces over 135.
Baltimore American - Langford 140, Gans tipped the beam at 138.
Baltimore Morning Herald - Langford 2 pounds above the agreed weight.
    Baltimore Sun - Langford a trifle over 140, Gans 135 1/4.
New York Sun - Gans weighed in at 138, Langford 2 pounds over.
Associated Press - Langford 2 pounds overweight.

I'll take it under consideration, and maybe re-read what I have. I can most assuredly edit later if i feel like i want to.

You've done great, sir. This entire thing has been almost as epic as the men being written about.

Alternative sports website. In America espn is the king of sports reporting; deadspin is the internet ages answer to that monopoly.

It would. Deadspin has a pretty good readership. And hopefully it will make some boxing fans.

Magic stuff this has been. Well done, sir.

Of these final 10, I really loved that last line about Duran. I don't own Sennheisers, but I can imagine it's true.

So, a wee break for the weekend and then we'll start in on 101-150.

Charles officially ranking above Fitz means I won the thread though, right?

No one else influenced a top 10 change. :deal
