Frank can put on 8 shows in a year if he wanted to. He doesn't have to answer to a network. Eddie is contracted to deliver them shows. Therefore he has to deliver them. Besides, Eddie has it pretty comfortable on SKY.
We all know Frank has had it rough these last few months. But remember he is running a TV channel as well trying to put on shows. The postponements have obviously set him back a month or so. Let see what gets announced in the next week or two.
I'm not a fan of Frank's by any stretch but I do hope things pick up for him and he can get his fighters more active, for their sakes more than anyone. (Providing they get what's due of course)
I don't see what point you are trying to make? Frank doesn't have to answer to anyone so he chooses to keep his fighters inactive? Does he not have a duty to deliver for BoxNation subscribers, shareholders and his fighters? If the position Hearn is in is so comfortable and privileged, why did Frank walk away from that position with Sky, Setanta and ITV?
Eddie plays checkers. Frank plays chess. QUALITY not QUANTITY. You name me one show that Eddie has put on, that beat Franks last Clev show, bare in mind how many fighters switched allegiance to Hearn and were due to fight on that Frank card. The best card Eddie has put on was that Prizefighter that Audley won a few months back. The Froch-Kessler card will be head and shoulders better than anything Eddie has promoted so far. They even stuck Bellew-Chilemba rematch on it to bulk it up a bit. PPV my arse. That says a lot about what he has been putting together. So far utter pish, apart from a couple of headline fights. But the cards themselves have been boring and wank. ESPECIALLY the last two. Eddie can put on as many shows as he wants now that fighters are switching. Frank will do the best with what he has got, and that last show he put on, **** on anything Eddie has done. Clev was on it Chisora was on it Groves and Burns were scheduled to be on it. (Before they ran of) Even with the no-goers, it still **** on anything Eddie has done, because it was a solid card. In fact that Fury-Cunningham channel 5 fight was a better fight than anything Eddie has put on so far.
LOL you can't say "Bear in mind Groves & Burns were scheduled to be in it" but were not due to major contract disputes which results in them Hearn could put on a show and advertise Mayweather v Alvarez but if it doesn't happen he can't get any credit for it.
Frank did choose to walk away and he must suffer the consequences of that decision. However he is building a channel and it takes time.
He does have a duty to deliver but at the moment it is clearly a struggle. You say Frank is almost finished yet you expect him to have 6 shows scheduled. Besides, it's less than a week since 70% of his stable fought. You must also take into consideration the recent postponements and cancellation. Frank has put on 3 shows so far this year and should put on at least another 4 by July. Seven shows in the first half of the year is hardly a disaster. Especially if you take into account his recent problems.
Groves was free to leave. (No reaction from Frank) Frank claims and maintains, Ricky Burns was a "major breach of contract".....he repeated this on talksport radio a few days ago. It had gone quiet, but he repeated that and said no hard feelings, but said that he thinks he had been badly advised (Morrison) I presume Frank will proceed.
