broner v malignaggi

Discussion in 'British Boxing Forum' started by BUSTER, Apr 26, 2013.

  1. Is broner wise ducking 140,paulie isn't a hard puncher so that makes it a boxing match and goldenboy presume a light introduction to welter

But I've always thought magic was underrated,he isn't scared of a rumble and is a fully fledged welter these days

Does anyone think he can upset the odds,I see him having some success as broner won't bully him like Rees or demarco

Paulie doesn't have the power to trouble Broner, unfortunately.

If Broner wins he's not sticking around at 147 for too long. He'll be back down to 140 or 135 but no doubt calling himself a 147 champion.

Broner will be so strong and big. Forget the jump in weight. This is more natural for Broner, they been holding of and clocking up the W's in the lower weights. Broner is clearly of welter/light mid build physically. Maybe even a bit higher.

Kinda boosting the record until they get where they planned to get all along. Just delaying the inevitable.

Paulie is only a little bit himself, Broner will figure him out after 2-3 rounds, Paulie will look to fight behind the jab, Broner will start chopping him up, Paulie will be forced to go backwards, face a mess. Broner finishes it in the 8th, ref steps in after Paulie takes to much.

Broner has got some serious power, Paulie is a tough nut granted, but got no pop and relies on boxing ability and a jab. But once Broner starts landing and landing clean, bypassing the jab, the scales of the fight will tip into Broners favor.

To big. To fast. To strong.

The magic man has got a problem in this fight.

There's a good reason they took Paulie and it's because he can't punch for ****.

    Pointless.

I can't wait for the hype and press conferences for this fight lol. A prime Malignaggi would stand a better chance with his faster feet and better footwork, I can't see the current version doing much vs Broner sadly.

I genuinely want Broner to get beaten up at some point though. A good 12 round pasting. I don't care if it's immoral, the guy's a ****.

Spence already confirmed it was just a rumour and they didn't spar at the Mayweather gym.

They have sparred in the past though.

I agree he is an idiot but I also think he will prove to be a very special boxer too.

With that said on his journey to the top it wouldnt surprise me if his cockiness and arrogance see him hit the canvas and have to eat some humble pie.

I dont like him, but, I truly believe he will prove to be a very good boxer indeed.
