I scored the fight 48-47 Melendez, I felt his most decisive rounds where 1 & 5 and had him taking round 2 also, Henderson clearly won 3 and took 4 in a close round.

Frank Mir has not looked as fit and agile since Lesnar 2 IMO, people have mentioned PED's?? Cormier aint making 205 and he aint beating Jon Jones, he could weight 245 and wouldn't beat him! For what its worth I gave Mir round 3.

**** knows what happened to Nate Diaz? I was not impressed with Josh Thompson, Diaz looked terrible, tearing in face first, stand up looked sloppy, he was pushing his punches and couldn't pick anything Thompson was throwing at him, he had probably the worst night of his pro career in the last 3 years! I've never rated Josh Thompson that highly and still don't, what he achieved by stopping Diaz is something to be proud of but Nate Diaz by any standards was absolutely shite on Saturday!

Was very interested to hear TJ Dillishaw's synopsis of how Alpha male used to train before Duane Ludwig took up the coaches role, fighters used to teach fighters, no format, just go in there and train! ****in old school methods brilliant!

I told myself after last time I wouldn't get involved in the too close to call debates, but I will say that round 5 was not a decisive round for either fighter. In fact, the only clear rounds IMO were 1 and 3. 1 was clearly Melendez, 3 was clearly for Bendo. The rest were a toss up.

That's just Diaz. His brother fights the exact same way. If you don't stand in front of them and eat a bunch of shots they don't know what to do with you. Thomson fought exactly like Condit in the first round. He hammered in some leg kicks and kept moving. The Diaz brothers zombie shuffle style won't work against that, as Thomson showed.

What are the chances that Davis/Magalhaes isn't an awful fight?

Ill be honest I thought it was fairly cut and dry, round 2 being the most contentious round of the fight IMO, Melendez stalked Henderson for most of round 5, superior stand up and landing the cleaner more telling shots with Henderson returning very little, and only throwing off the back foot.

I hear you on the Diaz brothers but Nate Diaz has never looked so sloppy IMO, it was like he just wanted to go out and prove he was a Nick Diaz clone, with little or no regard for anything but pouring in face first (Nick can get away with this but Nate clearly cannot). His conditioning looked off as well!

I may watch more Mixed Martial Arts nowadays, but Mayweather v Guerrero has been on my mind everyday for the past few weeks. I'm really looking forward to that fight. Tomorrow I will be switching between three cards as Martinez returns and Zab Judah faces a young fighter. I hate seeing my old fighters lose so I'll be pulling hard for Zab Judah.

Aww, don't say that. I'm looking forward to that fight. This is the closest thing to a rivalry that Davis has had in the UFC. The heat with Magalhaes has been building for a while. Now Davis has these accusations come out about allegedly abusing his wife. There should be enough heat behind this thing to get sparks flying. And as George Foreman always said, "where there's smoke, there's a whole lot more smoke somewhere."

Mayweather-Guerrero is a terrible fight. It's the boxing equivalent of Anderson Silva vs Francis Carmont or Jose Aldo vs Dennis Bermudez being made. Guerrero was at lightweight only two fights ago, he was beaten in an NABF featherweight title fight some years ago, the limited and inconsistent Andre Berto is his only live win, and all this makes him a suitable opponent for the undefeated longtime p4p#1 who won the lightmiddleweight title from a fellow p4p-class fighter in his previous fight? Pfffft, this fight is a bull**** cherrypick of the very highest order. 120-108 Mayweather on all 3 cards, the most pointless, boring, routine win since... Victor Ortiz, another mediocrity, two fights ago.

Unfortunately, even with some heat behind it, unless for some strange reason Phil elects to take the fight to the ground, or Vinny manages to successfully pull guard, we will most likely be treated to one of the worst striking matches that the sport could possibly produce right now.
