Reading through a series of Belcher's tweets today, he has been very vocal over the past 2-4 weeks at how well his camp has gone and how good he feels, you can never buy into this type of media but its rare for Belcher to state these things publicly. Both guys at their best Ive got Belcher doing as he pleases with Bisping on the feet and on the ground. Cardio goes to Bisping, wrestling ability goes to Bisping just, JJ, stand up, and all round versatility goes to Belcher. That said they are pretty evenly matched in most area's when analysing individual aspects of their make-up. Belcher at his best is top 5 in the world, Bisping isn't. Belcher by a lop sided UD, or maybe a sub - "guillotine"
I dont know about lopsided, definitely see this as being cat and mouse though. Alan will certainly be stalking Bisping I fancy a Belcher UD, but I think it will be closer, with Belcher landing the telling punches, but Bisping landing in volume If Belcher can draw get into Mikes head a little and draw him into a brawl, as Bisping fancies himself as a ''tough guy'' then Alan will win this easier
Fair points mate, Belcher is difficult to rate or predict, Belcher at his best tends to stalk with little to no concern of where the fight goes. He has excellent stand up. If he does this with Bisping he can bully him on the feet and leave Bisping with no where to go, other than run backwards or shoot for a double. On the basis that Belcher is somewhere near his best I dont see what Bisping can do about him, in any single area.
Funny, I think Bisping wants Belcher to move forward so he can run and gun. I think that is why he is antagonizing him, so he can play matador. I think Bisping counters his aggression, and wins a ud.
I think at their best they are well matched, but Belcher is not the quickest and hopefully he hasnt lost a step which will allow Bisping to ''coast'' for lack of a better word
If you are the poster that I insinuated that you are earlier in this thread, you would know exactly what I mean. I'm only joking around. You once had a Pacquiao avatar. There was a poster that use to frequent this forum, always with a Pac avatar, that posted under more than one identity. It's not as funny now that you've gone Machida.
Quote before the edit Yeah, dont think Bisping is good enough not to get tagged atleast once though, and his desire to be ''macho'' could work against him
Belcher is a better striker than Bisping, and he is more varied, if Belcher decides to gun him down with no regard for Bispings ground game, it will end up with Bisping being kicked and punched a lot for 3 rounds.
I think Belcher is better when the pace is measured, and he isn't being an over aggressor. He is definitely better going forward than Bisping would be, but I feel Bisping's chances improve if he can make Belcher chase him. I don't think this is an easy fight to pick.
