I had Murray winning every round from 3 (which was very close) through 10, add in one legit KD and he won close but clear on my card. Add in the second KD and it was a clear win in my eyes. He was more accurate, landed more, dropped him twice and hurt him. He won that fight. I can understand people seeing it slightly differently but Sergio by 3/4? No way. Did he actually get a point deducted for the cut in the end?
Very good performance by Martin although I thought he lost by 2 rounds he was hitting Arms and gloves a lot. He certainly done himself and Oliver proud.
Well it wasn't the referee! IMO Martinez score more with cleaner punches but everyone sees fights different it all depends on what your looking at
Exactly how I saw it. I gave Murray the 12th but Sergio had a strong last minute and that could have taken it away from him. I didn't see Sergio picking up enough rounds to win that, a draw at the very, very best for him so if the 2nd KD had correctly been given, he would have been a deserved winner. Murray certainly deserves a rematch at least.
Last night has changed my mind on one thing however- I'm pretty confident Golovkin would KO Sergio now after seeing that performance. GGG is as technically correct as Martin was, is a bit sharper with his footwork and carries the greater power. For an aging and slowing Martinez, that's a really bad combination
You know things are not all that clear or lucid when even the Argentine commentators, on Argentinian TV, score the bout for Murray.
This was a very close fight. How people can cry about a robbery is very strange. Murray made a great fight. It was just not enough! Why did he not closed the show? Martinez was winning the last two rounds.
