seryously...is martinez very overrated?

    This boxer is totally overrated. If he fight with a puncher: ggg.., he will be koed brutally.

    The dude's 38yo. Came back from career-threatening surgery. Broke his hand. Fought the 4th unbeaten youngster in 5 fights. Won close but clear. Yeah, sure overrated.

  5. he beat the **** out of pavlik and cintron, brutally knocked out paul williams and schooled the much bigger chavez. just how is he overrated?

    Not overrated, but it appears he's coming to the end of his peak.

    Well, if you go by some of the comments on these forums, yes. People talking about Martinez being an "all time great." Now that is overrated.

    Some fighters get old looking in one fight. Last night it was Sergio's turn. That hands down, chin out posture will catch up with him as he fights on and his 2 punch potshots weren't that effective against Murray.

    He was clearly knocked down twice, not once like the ref decided. That cost Murray a 2 point round. I still think he squeaked that decision out, but it's not like he was going to lose in Argentina anyway, was it.

    So you saw one of Martinez' fights and fully judge him, despite being 39 years old and clearly past it, based on this one fight? Williams, Pavlik and Chavez Jr. were all feather fisted? Welcome, you will easily get along with a lot of ******s here.
