Amazing that hes fighting with about 70lbs of excess fat, is 44 years old,and has been in numerous wars in his 80 something fight career.

He's made some decent purses in his career, and I doubt he is completely broke. He just doesnt want to lose things or tone it down.

He should settle down, sell of assets and take his act on the road.:thumbsup

 

whoever the hell is matching Toney against 6'4 undefeated guys who can just move and jab their way to a victory must be out of their mind. They need to match him up against a guy like Seth Mitchell who even at 60, Toney would still knock out.

At this stage in Toney's career, I doubt he could win rounds off of even Seth Mitchell. He's basically a brain-damaged fighter who can roll an occasional right hand, throw an occasional right hand counter, and pop a jab here and there. His refelxes and speed are completely gone.

Toney makes Mosley look like he has a good deal left in the tank.

 

I say Seth Mitchell because even that occasional right hand might accidentally knock him out.

Toney owes the iRS millions and doesn't have a nice announcing job like Tarver and Roy, so fighting is the only way he can pay them off. It is shitty, but what can he do.
