UFC has been putting some crappy cards together. This one was extremely crappy I mean why would they even put Jones v Sonnen when you know its not even going to be competitive. The only ok fight would have been Big country v Congo but congo was never going to win that one. UFC has been disappointing and they are just trying to put as many cards, as fast as possible. :fire
Been some proper **** matchmaking lately. I think putting top wrestlers in with high level BJJ guys is a **** idea. You just end up get a striking match between two fighters that aren't very good at striking as the wrestler doesn't want to take the BJJ guy down and the BJJ guy can't take the wrestler down. I'm thinking Cormier/Mir and Vinny/Davies in particular. If, for example, a BJJ guy is champ and a wrestler earns a shot that is one thing, but why just put these kind of fights on mid card? They're never entertaining and it doesn't make sense to me.
the problem is that there is just TOO MANY CARDS! If the UFC trims down on the # of cards by maybe 20-30% we would get better PPV cards and not these can filled, mismatch ridden joke cards. also, fire Joe Silva.
The UFC sucks. Their rules suck. Their judging system sucks. Their cards are laughable. Can't believe people pay for their cards.
I don't pay a penny. Also, don't watch the cards if you don't like the card then. Lol. "THERE'S TOO MUCH CHOICE!" Eat a dick, fart commander. More fights is good for everyone.
JJ v Sonnen, Garcia v Judah, and Martinez v Murray were fights that lead to bigger ones. Mismatches too, even though Sergio Martinez and Danny Garcia ran into some trouble. This is understandable as they aren't the p4p Best in the World (#1 or #2). I don't know what the OP is talking about.... Last night's card was entertaining. The only fight that wasn't that good was Bisping v Belcher, but from the get go is was obvious that Belcher was in over his head. I believe he knew this too so he fought accordingly. JJ dominated another opponent and won in the opening round with some brutal GnP. Don't care what anyone has to say, JJ is a force and belongs on PPV. The best athlete the Sport has seen and truly something special. Entertaining as **** and he beats the brakes off people. Unless their is some special event the rest of his career will be on PPV. If you don't understand why then it's nothing I can fix. Deal with it is all I can say.
JJ lasts two title defenses were JOKES. MMA is dying.. shitty matchmaking and can filled cards are killing the sport... now we have broads fighting in the UFC which makes things even worse.
The fanboys will still buy the tickets though, who could resist a chance to bay at a camera as Big Country or Bones strolls past.
Machida and Shogun turned down rematches on short notice. JJ beat the **** outta one and choked the other unconscious. Glover was booked and Gus was booked for UFC on Fox.... Don't talk **** if you don't know the backstory. Plain and simple. No way is this Sport dying , dying would mean that nobody cared about The UFC which is not the case. UFC 159 was mentioned more on ESPN last night than the three major Boxing cards because Mixed Martial Arts is hands down more entertaining. The cards The UFC puts together has far less cans than any other organization in the Sport or what you would see on a Boxing undercard. If you disagree then ask yourself why GBP and Top Rank are airing these cards in full. Women in The UFC is a Great thing as they deserve a platform as much as anybody. Those comments are outright sexist.
