No arguments with the punch resistance of Price/Fury but it's hardly like Wilder's is any better so your point is utterly ridiculous.
wilders the sort of fight that furey should be taking. theres too much emphasis on the "0" these days, better to learn and take the odd loss rather than wait for the big fight and lose for certain due to inexperience and cherry picking.. a long term plan will earn you more than a short term plan if youre any good.
Yes, Fury has been seen to have a weak chin and bad defence, but that's because he's actually fought people capable of exposing his flaws. And to a lesser extent the same can be said of Price who was exposed the first time he tried to step up from domestic level. Who has Wilder fought that even gave him a challenge? Who has he fought that was expected that give him a challenge? Audley Harrison is the only significant name of his resume and only a small minority really thought Audley would win - I hoped he'd perform well but I never expected him to win. If you pitted Fury against Wilder's opposition then Fury would have 28 wins with 28 KO's, if you pitted Price against Wilder's opposition then Price would have 28 wins with 28 KO's, such has been the poor standard of his opposition, but if you pitted Wilder against Fury or Price's opposition then you couldn't say anything with certainty. Could Wilder beat Cunningham, Johnson or Thompson? Who the hell knows? I certainly wouldn't bet on him given the fact that he's still just one huge question mark. Frankly, given the difference in experiance between them, if a fight occured, I would go for a Fury win in the later rounds.
FWIW, Kovalev may be the overall best fighter in the game today. Beautiful, controlled technique, perfect balance & footwork, "go for the kill" aggression, and KO power in both hands.
As you say Price Fury Wilder all victims waiting to happen. I'm sure they're all OK guys just trying to make a payday, but ...DAMNN.. Gritting my teeth tho, some younger guy's gotta come through eventually...just wishing there was something else on the horizon.
Everyone picking Wilder to stop him early right now but I think Fury makes a go of it. Not even sure who Id be picking to win at this point. :think

Good point, I was thinking the same. It would be interesting to see if Tyson could weather the first 3 or so rounds, and get to boxing/landing good shots. As of right now after seeing both of their last fights, my gut says Wilder gets Fury out of there. Sure I could be wrong, but it's hard to bet against imo.
I could see Fury winning, but he'd have to turn it into a wresting match, pushing Wilder against the ropes then leaning & throwing elbows & such. It would be ugly, but it could be effective. He'd never, NEVER simply outbox Wilder, he doesn't have the speed. Despite what the haters claim (who have never actually seen more than 2-3 of Wilder's fights) Wilder has tremendous foot-speed & balance. Watch him against DeAndrey Abron. Abron may not be a world-beater, but he has VERY fast hands & a decent reach. - And he literally couldn't touch Wilder. The same goes for Kelvin Price, who also has fast hands and a reach as long as Wilders. Sure, they were avg fighters at best, but it's not just a case of "they didn't win" it's a case of "they couldn't land a single punch." Wilder's foot-speed & balance was too much for them. If those guys couldn't even land on Wilder, How is Fury going to do it? So if fury can dictate & make it an inside fight, he probably wins. if he makes the mistake of fighting from the outside, it would be a very short night.
