You can't seriously expect him to understand how that works right?

Hope he does, HWs never need to make weight so they don't have to go sit on a toilet before the weigh in.
It's pretty normal for your weight to go up and down some pounds.

Lewis did look a little bit soft though

I think that is a bit bold.
Byrd is a sound defensive fighter and he has a huge heart.
All 3 of them are crude. Sure Peter packs a punch could very well put Byrd out if he connected, but skill wise Byrd is much better and would outbox Peter until he got hit, Peter may have a hard time finding Byrd enough to get the win.

Sanders is basically a 3 round fighter, if Byrd survives the 5th, then I can't see anything but a clear UD for him. I don't really see Sanders finding that money shot to spark Byrd out, he is too elusive for that, Sanders was good when he could find the holes for his big straight left, which I think that he would struggle with against Byrd.

Chisora is a raw come-forward guy without much skill or punching power, I don't see how he should beat Byrd. Byrd would counter him all day and win a UD.

Yes, time will cast the K Bros in a different light and those who now seem to hate them and minimize their accomplishments, will then be more willing to acknowledge just how impressive and dominant their careers are(have been).

  9. No. It really wasn't.

Lewis's best performances by far were Briggs, Golota, Holyfield I and Tua. Rahman II was a past prime Lewis with full motivation. Even a shot Lewis if fully motivated could have beaten Rahman. That meant nothing.

You could tell his sharp regression in the Tyson fight as early as round 1 when he landed a upper cut but was unable to follow up with his usual combinations and ended up having to clinch and push Tyson down. Against Mercer.. despite the fact he wasn't in his full boxing prime. he would land the upper cut than follow with a straight left to the body combined with a right. Those were the same shots Lewis during his prime landed against Briggs.

To even hint Lewis was in his 'prime' or close to it against Vitali is bordering on insanity and absolutely absurd.

Sanders would pulverize Byrd. Completely wrong match-up for Byrd.

Soft but not fat, great fight while it lasted anyway. There is no rule against cutting your opponent up, as long as it's with your fists.

  12. No.. he really won't. Both Byrd and Sanders are extremely limited and over rated on these forums. Ike literally set a counter trap against Prime Byrd who walked into it and was knocked out of his prime in that one fight. Ike landed a semi upper cut that had Byrd badly drooling and everyone was scared for his safety. He never had a good chin, it's largely due to Vitali's own over rated powers that cost Byrd to become over rated in regards to chin. What he does have is a slick defense. which kills Vitali at any stage of Vitali's career. That slick defense is easily countered by an elite pressure fighter or a large super heavy who can punch. So in reality.. it's not even as slick as it's made out to be.

Corrie Sanders (RIP) is one of the most overrated fighters of the past 20 years. With all due respect to Sanders.. he was beaten by Natt Tubbs not because he was not prepared but because he couldn't even move laterally for more than 20 seconds and got caught. He was beaten by Rahman despite being hit by the same punch again and again for at least a dozen times the last punch ended up being so telegraphed... that even Wilder could have avoided it. He was a strictly 2 round fighter and in terms of achievements is well below that of Rahman,Mccall, Douglas, even Leon Spinks.

Exactly. If McCline could brutalise him early, what would Sanders do.

Very true. People once hated Tyson and Ali, now look at the respect they get.
