Yep, besides DM, Roy fought every other LHW of note during his time there. Despite this, he got lambasted for his choice of opposition. It's puzzling.
Martinez won, deal with it! No one is bitching and crying robbery to the Castillo/Mayweather 1. No one is bitching and crying about when Martinez should of had won by KO against Cintron. It was a close fight. Murray stock rose with that showing. Hopefully we will have Murray back soon and since he doesn't have any affiliation with HBO/Showtime and Top Rank/GBP maybe Murray can fight in the near future against GGG or Quillin.
Martinez fights Macklin= "ah Martinez is fighting euro bums" GGG fights Macklin= "ah GGG is fighting the best available out there and Macklin is ranked on the top 10 MW's" Quillin fights Guerrero(who? is he better than the euro bums?)= "Quillin is an ATG winning by KO's" atsch
He's starting to look like Arnold at the end of Terminator 2. Badly damaged, but still formidable enough. Time for a vacation. Let one of these fresher youngsters truly separate and make a name for themselves in the meantime so it'll be worth his while for a last stand.
ROBBED?! Really? Murray fights the champ in his home country, walks around in a shell defense for 3-4 rounds, and after that opens up to throw 1 or 2 punches at a time. It was a close fight no doubt, I thought Martinez won, but fact is Murray robbed himself. You don't fight a man in his home country and fight like he did. His work rate sucked, when Martinez actually started to get to him in the end of the fight, Murray got hurt. Murray definitely did nothing to impress me.. At least Sergio tryed to make it a fight.
Every Floyd hater bitches about Castillo/Mayweather 1 including you since you brought it up. Floyd rematched and proved conclusively the victory was no fluke. That seems to be forgotten. Will Martinez do the same? I DOUBT IT!
what the hell does that mean? what the hell does that mean? ducking instead of taking shots to the mug also changes the whole fight and one isnt dependent on the other. im not looking to bash your holy sexiness, im just making a point about the obvious.
It was a close fight. Sergio won. The second knockdown was debatable, but it was ruled a slip. It is what it is. And STILL the Undisputed Middleweight Champion of the World! Sergio "Maravilla" Martinez!!!! Get well, Champ! Great job to Murray as well. He's tougher than a lot of people give him credit for. Had he not gassed out at the end, he may have won the fight. Very close!
So He beats a top 10 opponent with a broken hand, after coming back from surgery....and this makes him a ***** that was never good in the first place?? I seeeeeee......
