27 wins with all 27 inside the 4 rds is good but his opponents are of lower standard, in saying that he more thann did enough against a domestic brit level. His next step should be del who would easily get side those wild punches. He clearly has big power though

Honestly, I wouldn't mind seeing what those crazy-ass, Mayorga-like swings would achieve against Wlad. It's not that ridiculous to think that a man of equal size to him (taller, actually) would manage to reach him with one of those whirlwind shots.

 

Yeah i'd like to see that, Arreola is a big puncher with a good chin that's the kind of test Wilder needs. However he is too busy calling out Fury & Price who already have plans, Chisora would be a good test.

 

Agreed. There was a British boxer whose name I'm forgetting right now, who mentioned that fighting a guy who is awkward and unpredictable is often harder than fighter a good technician because you don't know what to expect from them. I think that point is true. If I was Wilder, would I rather be wild and awkward or would I rather be a straight forward, predictable David Price type? I'd choose to be fast, unorthodox and unpredictable. There are plenty of guys who have made a career at heavyweight with big flaws in their technique, like Foreman or Vitali, so maybe Wilder can be another? What he's lacking that they did have though, is a great chin. If Wilder had a good chin, I'd have confidence in him becoming a world champion one day because whilst his technique isn't perfect, I don't think he's going to get shut out by many guys considering the power and speed he has.

Seth Mitchell and Price were two straight forward, predictable bangers who both got exposed recently. Wilder is less technically sound than both of those but that may be a positive in the future.

 

I actually like Wilder. But if people jump on a bandwagon of the back of the Harrison "fight" then you will be massively let down. Audley Harrison is probably the worst fighter I have seen. Not just in boxing, but in the sport of fighting in general. He doesn't WANT to fight, for whatever reason. Mentally scarred, scared, afraid, whatever the reason.

You are in the wrong sport Audley! I don't think you will find someone else on this planet who looks so out of his comfort zone like Audley. He don't belong in the ring and he knows it! Forget all the smack talk, look past that, deep down he knows it and he shows it in the ring!

He doesnt want to throw punches, he doesn't want to hurt anybody.

He wants to be thankful he can still string a sentence together after an entire career in the sport.

The blokes legs look like french fries. The moment he gets tagged by a proper fighter, will be the moment Audley Harrison 2 is born.

All he got is the right hand, all Audley had was the left hand. OK Audley barely ever threw it, unlike Deontay, who will throw the right a bit more. But he is still a one dimensional fighter totally out of place.

He WILL get it and I'd be seriously worried for his legs snapping in two when he is on the way down. I thought Jon Jones' and Peter Crouch's legs were thin. I have never ever seen anything like that in my life! Freakish! He takes stick legs to a whole new level!

 

Didn't look as crude as I expected until he caught Audley,then went a bit wild but the initial damage had been done.Hes not been many rounds in his fights but is obviously an athlete so don't think stamina should be a problem.Mention of a Chisora match is interesting.Do members think Derek could have got Audley out in one?I don't.It would be a bit of a jump up for Wilder,but wouldn't bet against him.Cant see Dereks manager taking it,at least not in the immediate future.Who will be the first Brit,if any,to fight him?Very interesting.
