I think Hearns is a true 6'1. He was 4 or 5 inches taller than me when we met. Regardless, Hagler is definitely taller than 5'6. Leonard (5'10) was barely taller than him, Marvin was taller than Roberto Duran (5'7). So 5'8-5'9 is pretty much where Marvin stands...not that it makes much difference anyway.
I think Qawi may have been taller than listed? I'm trying to find some good shots but struggling, but the photos I have found suggest he was. In photos with Holyfield he looks more 5'8" than 5'5". Might watch some youtube clips when I get home.
If you google image "Bret Hart/Thomas Hearns" there's a really good shot of the two Hitmen together. Hart is 6' flat AT MOST and he is definitely a little taller than Hearns...
I don't know what that means but Hearns in his prime as a fighter was 6' 1 1/2" and a 78 1/2 inch reach. Hagler is about 5'9 1/2" Leonard is 5'10" and Duran is almost 5'8"
And what do you base this on?? Surely you're aware the listed heights mean nothing...actually, the best guess is that if they have any meaning, it's that most of the guys are 1-2 inches shorter than whatever the listing says. For the record I'd be surprised if Hearns wasn't 6'1"ish given how tall he appeared in the ring, but there would have to be something very funky going on in the shot of him with Bret Hart for 6'1" to be possible.

I don't know what year that was with Hart, but a guy is not going to be listed 2 inches taller, and since Hearns whole reputation was built on being tall. so if he was 5-11 and only one inch taller than Leonard, we would have been able to tell. Maybe Hearns was slouching in the picture with Hart and/or wearing slip on shoes with not much sole. I know when he fought Hill he was about Hill's height which is 6-1, and Barkley, he was a little taller than and Barkley is 6ft and a 1/2.. And Shuler he looked taller than, and Shuler was 6-1 like Tommy. Hagler look slightly shorter than Leonard, who is 5-10. And Duran looks about 2 inches shorter than Hagler. If we go by the heights they all said they are, they all look about that height in comparision to each other unless we put all of them 2 inches shorter . Hearns 5-11, Hagler 5-7 and Duran 5-6 and Ray 5-8, which is not true. Then we have to say Shuler and Hill were 5-11 also. Just doesn't work. Hearns is a legit 6-1 1/2
Evander looks a little taller than Tommy in that picture. So if Tommy is 6'1" 1/2, than Evander should be listed at 6'2" - 6"3"
here is a comedian named George Wallace next to Hearns. Wallace is listed at 6-3 This content is protected
