In the UK Herol 'Bomber' Graham is often given the title of the greatest fighter never to win a world title. Dave 'Boy' Green of course Henry Cooper deserves a mention.

Sam Langford fought from lightweight all the way to heavy, but never got his shot as the then champion, Jack Johnson.

There must be a ton of boxers to add to this list....

This is a concept that cannot exist in modern boxing.

Yeah it's probably more a case of finding the great fighters of old that never got their shot for whatever reason

Right now as of today.. probably Matt. People saying he's the best 140 pounder right now, yet hasn't earned a world title yet.

How many of you have seen Sam Langford fight? Only 2 or 3 fights of him recorded right? But because you heard he was great then it must be true right? Because you have to believe what other people tell you.

I would throw in David Tua into the discussion. Maybe he wasnt great overall but boy that hook.....Too bad he was so damn short for a HW.

Im sure he's not the greatest, but in these times of multiplebelts and what not I could never believe Edison Miranda never got to hold one.
