You don't beat Barrera, Morales (even past prime), Hatton and Cotto if you're 'manufactured'. If you ignore the judging in the Bradley match, as most people do, then Marquez is the only person to have beaten Pac since 2005. You can argue that people overrated Pac by saying he would beat Mayweather, but Pac is a genuinely good fighter, and at his best he was dangerous for anyone around his weight.

i called the barrera win, the morales loss, followed by the wins against morales and a bunch of others. pac below 135... a monster. pac above 135...smoke and mirrors. i thought pac beat jmm in the first fight. he got gift decisions in 2 and 3 and i called the win for morales in the 4th bout. wasn't shocked by the ko.

when u understand how styles match up and what a fighter brings to the table...it's not hard to figure out who would win. pac's run at 147 has been a beautiful display of careful/selective match making....much the same way floyds run at 147 and above has been. these guys aren't winning these fights by accident.

So by your logic, who could boxing not do without?
I get what you mean to an extent, but enlighten me further.

Khan's better off pursuing a Mayweather fight.

Either way he gets stopped, but against Floyd he has a better chance of remaining concious during the stoppage.

Pac would miss the left hand and Khan would fall out of the ring

    Many athletic stars are "manufactured".

ODLH's fame is not proportional to his achievements. TR new early on his sexual appeal to the opposite sex and took advantage of it.

PBF's fame is from ODLH and then to a manufactured personality called "Money Mayweather". He even admits.

    Even Tyson to some extent.

North of 135, very few today would have achieved the same as Pac given the same opportunities. Not Hatton, not Cotto, Not Margo, etc.
PBF - probably. Younger ODLH - maybe (not sure about vs Cotto). And Mosley.
Not sure how that qualifies as "smoke and mirror"

Nah, not yet. No point in seeing Khan sparked. It would be a potential passing of the torch fight with lots of drama. Let Khan develop more and let Pac become more relevant again.
