Care to expand on why you think that?

If you don't want to talk boxing, then I'm sure you can find one of the million Eddie vs. Frank threads, or a nafflad TV thread, or one like the other day about a bloke following Nathan Cleverly around in a holiday inn and counting bums on seats.

    :tired

Because chin is the commonly accepted way of describing someones ability to take a punch, simple as that really

This guy is a ****ing ******, Khan has a terrible chin with decent recovery skills, he gets hurt or goes down then recovers, compared to the way he falls down he recovers pretty well
This guy makes the most shittest threads

Decent recovery skills!?! Have you ever seen Amir Khan fight?

    Decent. :-(

    Sheeeeeeeeeet

You better be talking bout Haroon. :nono

Amir Khan has actually got a B-level chin. He takes some big shots, and has never been knocked out cold. His recovery is terrible, his reaction to getting hit aint great, and his punch resistance aint the best. But his chin is OK if you ask me, he goes funny and his legs go to jelly, but never been put asleep!!!

Thats a good chin if you ask me.

Even the Garcia knockdown was on his neck. :-(

I understand what craney means, it's possible to have a bad chin but ok punch resistance, they're the same thing, it's just the chin is the most sensitive area to the punches, so you're more likely to be knocked out by a punch to the chin than the nose.

The idea of it goes against the claims of Khan and Price that because they weren't hit clean on the chin, they don't have a glass jaw, actually it's worse because if they can be knocked out by a shot to the neck/jaw or ear, then what will happen when a big punch lands clean on their chin.

You obviously didnt see the Prescott one the guy couldnt get up for ****, put to sleep is something completely different, they are perfect shots
If Marquez landed that shot on Khan or even one with 50% of the power Khan would be put to sleep
Khan gets wobbled with every jaw shot and your saying he has a good chin, his punch resistance is decent or he wouldnt get up from shots

Punch resistance is the punches you can/can't take and the reaction to taking them. If Khan's chin is glass, like so many people say (and I don't particularly like Khan) he wouldn't be able to take ANY shots to the chin whatsoever and would of been rendered unconscious by now.

Khan reacts badly to punches. He doesn't fully recover, but 9 times out of 10, he stays on his feet to take even more punishment. He tries to recover on his feet not when he is down, sometimes he'd be wise just to take a knee.

    Poor punch resistance. Poor recovery.

    OK chin.

Khan is such a **** example,he never gives himself time to actually recover from punches when he goes down he tends to jump straight back up on unsteady legs.Ive never seen him stay down give himself to 7 or 8 get his senses back a bit and then get up.**** his chin the guy is just an idiot full stop,I think his lack if ring intelligence is what lets him down not his chin.

No ones chin is like that so they wont get up, compare Khan to any other boxer and it is GLASS, he has good recovery skills or he wouldnt have got up from Garcia's left hook, just stop
