actually i think that every poster is a bit "hook", every body is partial sometimes, i like foreman, i hate larry holmes, but i think that holmes would beat forman by decision... simply styles... usually the tyson fans think that tyson would beat anyone.. and it is just a bit.... laughable?

It's too bad Holmes didn't call out Pinklon Thomas and Greg Page with the same fervor that he called out Foreman! :yep

Exactly!!! Foreman came back for the MONEY period! He came back talking about his youth center and all the impoverished kids he wanted to help, etc., but I personally believe Foreman was more about replenishing his own bank account than performing any great acts of charity. I could be wrong, however, but going by how much of a businessman Foreman is, I feel confident in my beliefs. I mean, not that there is anything wrong with chasing a dollar. But in Foreman's case, it was the way he seemed to use God (religion) and charity (his youth center) as the sole driving forces behind his comeback that made him seem a bit like a street corner hustler!
And in terms of a Tyson fight, George probably felt that he had no chance at winning but wouldn't mind getting paid several million dollars to at least try to win. The big money was in a title shot, so George would fight whoever held the belt! If there was no title on the line, George wasn't going to fight any real competition.

Lol don't know who Foreman Hook is but if he thinks like me then he must be great. But can Azzer answer the question .Did Tyson fight Mercer, Bowe, McCall, David Tua you could go on and on and on?

Tyson fought Lewis because he needed the money and got iced. Foreman didn't duck Lewis, He got robbed against Briggs and retired.

I don't remember anybody talking about how Foreman should fight Mercer or Bowe and I doubt either of them could beat old Foreman.

This whole thing is pretty funny. Let's say Foreman did avoid some people when he was older. Let's just say he did just to prove this point. Tyson ducked people when he was in his prime. Yet his fanboys will always find a excused for him/

Lol, some of you were not even born or still in diapers when Tyson was the best Hwt on the planet.

For his entire comeback Foreman was seen as a circus show, he still had the name but was not considered a threat to the top dogs. Holyfield got some major flak for fighting him and something similar when he fought old Holmes.

Foreman was a punching bag in the Holyfield fight, plain and simple....I was there. The only reason Foreman had a couple of highlights because Evander still had the brawling mentality and he tried to Ko the old man, otherwise it would have been a total wash.

Foreman did not take his sunglasses off for a couple of weeks because his face looked like raw hamburger, as a matter of fact he still had them on on the HBO fight discussion a week or two later and he stated that Holyfield is not what he would consider a big puncher and he would have been in big trouble if otherwise.....his words not mine.

Imagine Tyson landing 10-15 punch unanswered combos on the Old Man, it would not have been pretty. Fact not fiction.

I remember at a Tyson press conference when asked about a possible Foreman fight, he responded with his customary lisp " You guys would cruzify me if I fight that old fossil"

Anyway , we have a couple of common opponents between Tyson and Foreman excluding the Holyfield fights.

Stewart and Saverese.......... Tyson not firing on all cylinders anymore against the first and totally washed up against the second waxed those two C level guys in less then ONE ROUND COMBINED while good ol' Foreman went life and death over the distance with both and it could be argued he got a gift in the first, now both are NOT considered strong chinned boxers, lol, far from it, that was the reason they got picked in the first place but despite both guys got right at him and TRADED he could not put them away.

Comebacking Foreman against prime Tyson......utter mismatch, Prime Tyson vs prime Foreman....50/50.

BTW, old Foreman would never land a uppercut on Tyson, lol, his crab defense will not allow it and the rest of his stuff is painstakingly S-L-O-W...............what did Ali call the prime Foreman in Zaire?

Yeah , the Mummy, you think that was a compliment for speed ?

any1 using de "Rumble In The Jungle" fight as anything other than a successful cheating is either ignoring reality or just unable 2 comprehend it.

Much better if u used de Lyle and Peralta fights if u wanted 2 downgrade 4man

Sauhund then why did Tyson fight Holmes who is roughly the same age is Foreman? Age had nothing to do with it Tyson just knew he would get beat up by a old man.

Foreman fought Saverase first 3 or 4 years before Tyson fought him. The Savarese Tyson fought was done and how old was Foreman? punching 50. Do you think a 47 or 48 year old Tyson could of beat Savarese?

Alex Stewart was a slow started. If you jump on him early you can stop him. Alex just stood their against Tyson and got knocked down 3 times and had the fight stopped. Foreman dropped hi 2 times in the second round and if he knocked Stewart down one more time the fight would of been stopped. Stewart manage to hold on and come on strong but against Foreman was past his prime and Tyson was in his early 20's.

Foreman's face was puffy against Holyfield? Yet he still win the distance with a prime Holyfield and hurt him. Tyson fought a worn down Holyfield never hurt him and got stopped so your point is?

Foreman had the tyson fight offered to him numerous times and turned it down. The tyson holmes fight was in the works as far back as 86, the main reason tyson and foreman didnt fight was don king, neither man was ducking each other per say but foreman knew he would have got his **** pushed in if it had happened, and has admitted it in interviews! And holy never really ran from foreman he stood and traded with him a few times, holys chin is exellent but foreman and his power seem to get super hero status for reasons unknown in his second stint.
