Man how many times will they allow Canelo to defend against a fighter coming off 2 losses?

Depends on how good Lara looks doing it. If it's convincing and one-sided, then Canelo. If he struggles or it's close, then either a rematch with Angulo or Trout.

Finally someone says it. Everybody throwing around Lara like he's the end all of his division. Hell no! Lara should try to get Molina's strap so he could receive a boxing lesson. I'd rather see Lara rematch the guys he drew before he gets a shot at Canelo. Molina is definitely the trickiest fighter of the division. The guy makes everyone look bad.

He WILL defeat Angulo because he is head and shoulders above him in skill. Then he should get the title shot against Canelo. He probably won't since Canelo is Golden Boy's Golden Boy, but he deserves it. I would pick Lara to beat Canelo by a decision, if the scoring is fair. Lara is another special talent from Cuba that is not being treated great by promoters. Lara is not Golden Boy's favorite just like the great Rigondeaux is not Top Rank's favorite. They both deserve better, in my opinion.
