Showtime doesnt care about making a shitload from floyd. They want the biggest star in sports on their network to increase traffic. Floyd can help showtime on the whole as a channel. Not just boxing

Floyd's guarantee comes out to about $33.3mil per fight

I think he'll make around what he did from the Ortiz fight this time around

I'm predicting in the range of 600k PPV and would'nt be suprised if its less.
You mulitiply that figure times 60 and you get 36 million.

When you take into account all the production expenses to promote and air the fight, it does'nt even begin to pay just Mayweather alone his guarantee.

I know there's money made in other countries on the fight, but usually promoters dont take that into consideration when paying fighters.

I have no clue how much they can rake in from money from other countries watching the fight, but when everyone involved gets their piece of the pie, its not going to cover expenses.

This fight will bomb from how I'm looking at it.

If you care to elaborate on your own thoughts and figures, I'm more than happy to listen.

My question? If this fight does about 600k ppv, do you think it makes money????

All things considered he has been short changed.

In fact every fighter on the card except floyd has been really.

Less than 10% of what his opponent is making ?

    Comon bro.

Gurerro couldnt draw fiends to a crack house. Nobody knows who he is. 3 million is more than double his highest purse

It could happen, there is no top undercard, no draws

What is a PPV for this 60 dollars HD ?

It's a lot of dough for a perceived mismatch

They said the exact same thing about Marquez. People were predicting like 400K and it did over a mill. I'm going with 900K

900K times 60 comes out to 54 million.

Production costs from what I here run about a third of the total PPV sales.
That leaves 36 million left over.
    All for Floyd?????

What about the other fighters purses????

The promoters dont get a cent????

To guarantee a fighter 36 million, you have to be looking for the fight to a least sell 1.5 million in PPV.

This fight is not going to rake in what Mayweather's fight with Cotto did.
If it does, I'll be the first to tip my hat to Mayweather.

Got to tip my hat to him if the fight does well in excess of 1 million dollars on what has become now a predictable cherrypick!
