Yeah, he was in the 70's if I recall correctly?

No Laguna? He looks better on film than Pedroza for my money.

    Rodolfo "El Gato" Gonzalez?

...i don't think so. I think I'd have Jim Jeffries and Jack Dempsey clearly above Patterson so I guess not. Where is Boxed Ears anyway?

    Could be...

He was a good fighter too.underrated.Threw really nice punches at times.Good offensive standup fighter.

Just a pity with his love for getting into wars and dodgy defence that he had a poor chin.

Pedorza has a sick number of defences though, Laguna is patchy at the highest level in a way Pedroza really isn't, and he has the better wider resume anywayu. Just, Laguna has that beast of a win.

I think Galindez is behind Delaney.

Ooh good shout , wasn't Delaney the opposite of say a fighter like galaxy

Galaxy loads of defences but not more than a couple of names on his record

Delaney some good names on his record but no defences

Laguna was fighting better fighters though.I'm sure he could have put together a good run against the sort of fighters Pedroza racked up defences against...not that he didn't fight some solid challengers and Lockridge and Laporte were both very good at their best.....but even they were lesser fighters than the men who handed significant losses to Laguna and they both ran Eusebio very close.

Well that's the balanced. But it must be balanced. In the end, winning is better than losing, and winning lots is better than winning some and if you lose less and win more your best wins better be pretty astonishing. Pedroza ranks higher.

Laguna was a two time champ. Pedroza only the true champion when Sanchez died, and even then he never faced the WBC champ' (Nelson)

He had a spotty start and a spotty finish.

I would actually have Laguna over both Marcel and Pedroza. Marcel and Laguna are closer though.

Laguna's best wins are pretty astonishing. And his secondary names are better than Pedroza's best names. And weren't half as close and controversial.

Again, not like I'm not a massive Pedroza fan, clearly I am. Laguna is a class above, I can't even really see why it's being disputed outside of phony title defences.

Yeah, two reigns, three title shots, total defences across those two reigns - one. One defence in two reigns resulting from three title shots.

That's stacked against nineteen defences, including a number of linear. I know Laguna is a favourite for you guys but come on...

Are they more, or less fake than Marcel's?
