Mares vs. Ponce De Leon

I'm a Mares fan so I'm riding with him. Although I think PDL can win he's the bigger and more experienced guy.

De Leon don't fight in the negative style so this will be an absolute WAR unless Mares decides to use movement.

 

Poll is a little wider than I though, but nobody as picked Mares by KO yet.

 

Why would they?

Mares hasn't had a ko since he started facing the higher echelon fighters.

 

On these boards, nothing surprises me anymore.

But I though I might get a "he'll wear him down with body punches and finish him late" response or two.

 

Agreed. Not saying I'd predict it, but I've seen stranger predictions around these parts.

Ponce by ko,mares is a dirty pressure fighter and he will get reckless at some point.

 

Damn, that is a badass picture. PDL does look ****ing HUGE.

Man, I always thought he was shorter than 5' 7", but he actually does look 5' 7" in there with little 5' 5" Mares; makes me think Mares is 5' 4" with how much taller PDL is.

Mares is short, but the dude is scrappy as hell. I've been following PDL for a long time; love that dude, but I also like Mares. It's going to be a WAR .

 

Ponce is strong, but too crude to beat Abner IMO. I think Abner will be able to outbox him.

 

Think Mares wins by decision.

 

I think Ponce De Leon is going to pull of the upset.
