To be fair the PPV price in this country has been £15 ever since the late nineties. That obviously doesn't make it right if it has increased up to £18 without any real notice.

  2. The only way to stop this PPV **** is simply don't purchase at any cost

    Simple economics

Mugs keep paying = rising prices
Mugs stop paying = no PPV boxing

**** PPV and **** Eddie Hearn

Wrestlemania is more expensive than the other pay per views because its 4 hours compared to 3 for the rest.

If they can put Froch-Bute, Khan-Garcia etc on normal Sky then why not Froch-Kessler?

PPV has been killing the sport slowly since the eighties in the US and nineties here.

I've never agreed with sky charging people who already subscribe to sports for ppv events. Customers who don't have sports fair enough, they only want the one fight but to charge subscribers is and always has been a **** take. Im going to London for the Kessler fight but am still disappointed with the decision to go ppv with it. Totally wrong.

Hearn has no control over the PPV prices. The people who choose what they charge are Sky.

  9. Can you imaging Sky Sports subscribers watching football all season then finding that the FA Cup final is PPV, golf fans watching golf every week then the majors and Ryder Cup PPV, tennis fans watching tennis every week then the Grand Slams are PPV etc.

There would be an uproar and Sky would run out of subscribers quickly with the product lacking financial viability.

Fighters including Hatton, Haye, Khan and Froch are only interested in screwing every penny out of boxing fans.

The harsh reality is that a very small percentage of these events are actually worth watching often grossly disappointing the fan.

    **** Hearn and **** PPV

No subscribers = no PPV and who really gives a **** if the Froch v Kessler fight cannot be made because they are 2 greedy feckers.

It's Hearns fault he's chose not to tell anyone about the sneaky price increase yet if its true. People were already pissed enough that it was 15 quid. Best part of 20 quid really is taking the ****

    Blame Murdoch.... (Again)
I'm sure Wrestlemania was always £17.95, might be wrong though and I haven't heard anything about the price. I think we all and casuals assume it's the standard £15 but will sneak it in!

  13. Brilliant post above from hayemaker

What makes boxing think it can charge when other sports don't

I understand the overheads,so promoters will have to fund shows differently.innovation

    But boxing smacks of greed

    The ashes,champions league,world cup,Ryder cup,formula 1 etc etc. None are ppv

Nothing to add to this really is an outstanding post. Champions league final is a miles bigger event and we don't have to go PPV with that so why should we for boxing

After the Haye embarrassments on Sky, I decided to never buy any pay per view from Sky ever again. Think I watched Valuev Haye and Haye Harrison on box office :patsch

Watched Haye Wlad in the pub thankfully.

What annoys me is how casuals assume since its on box office it must be top guys in a great fight. Theres been months on end of brilliant fights that they dont care about.

On the other hand though I know lads that were turned off boxing after watching some of the utter **** served up by Khan and Haye on box office. They really turned away alot of fans.
