Mayweather fans, how concerned are you?

    Voice your reasoning.

Sr. and Roger potentially colliding, the bruising on Jr.'s face from sparring, the jail time body change, the tweets about bad days in the gym, Sr. having him hold back a bit, his legs/reflexes in the Cotto fight, etc. Cause of concern or just meaningless drama?

My mind says Floyd wins, quite easily, dropping no more than two rounds, but I can't shake the feeling he'll look vulnerable. It could all amount to nothing in the end but there are lots of Floyd fans who express more palpable concern about how he'll look.

Personally I have no idea how this fight is going to go in terms of what each man will do. Instinctively I'd envision Floyd switching between coming forward and boxing off the back-foot, but his dad seems much more focused on moving within the shell, and he's really only fought like that once against a southpaw in Ortiz, and even then, not the whole time. Then there's Robert; not sure he'll come forward form the outset and commit to that, or also hang back a bit and try to use his straight punches at a distance.

Except Mayweather isn't 38 years old, coming off a torn knee, and fighting a guy much larger and stronger then he is.

He's coming off 2 months in prison, a year layoff, 36, a different trainer. It's not looking ideal for him.

I think he'll still win but it's honestly looking bad.

There's always that little doubt in the back of my head. Guerrero is a good boxer, but I think that if Mayweather is just Mayweather. He should win even if Guerrero dose everything right and at the best of his abillities.

Mayweather has had far more boxing related injuries than Martinez has, and has been boxing since he was 6. I bet Floyd has plenty of tear on him.

I think Floyd wins this by UD. I don't think age will be a factor

    :rofl:rofl:rofl

he was in county jail, not prison dummy. he takes a year off between fights anyway, he was gonna be sitting around anyway watching tv at home , he did it at jail instead.
his dad has trained him before, hardly "new"
36 isnt old, he aint been in wars, defensive fighter and never took a beating. 36 means ****. . JMM was a featherweight and is almost 40.
RG is a blown up lightweight. this is a cherry pick. quit making this out to be a tommy hearns he is fighting

Of course I'm concerned because Floyd is so inactive. If he fought more often then we would know where he is at. He could come out and put on a great performance or look even older. My guess is that Floyd looks great in this fight and doesn't get hit as much.

You've obviously never been in the hole. 23 hours a day in the cell (24 on weekends) can destroy any good man's psyche. He was also malnourished in there which caused him to lose a lot of definition.

Floyd is going to be different tonight. He will be much more vulnerable.

    This is a war folks.

    Good take Ice.....

But don't count Guerrero out. He has overachieved his entire career. And even though I don't like him, Im hoping he overperforms tonight and rids us of this poser Roid Mayflower.
