How I would advice Floyd Mayweather Jr to fight Robert Gurrero

  1. Despite what a lot of fans think, this could turn out to be a competitive fight for Floyd. This is what I will advice Floyd to do:

I see Guerrero having success using a diversity of tactics, mainly centered around ambush fighting.

Guerrero has shown the tenacity and skill necessary for dirty inside fighting.

On the outside, what Guerrero will do is take small steps back and small steps forward. When coming forward, he will keep his hands up and work his right jab while controlling the center.

when he reaches with his punches, because Guerrero will come back at him and take advantage by following up with straight punches.

Guerrero will choose when to engage on the inside to his best advantage. If he has success feinting and getting into Floyd's range, or making him reach and rushing him backwards, then he can either choose to restart the process on the outside, or take the opportunity either of these scenarios to get all up in Floyds guard.

Another thing Guerrero will attempt is sticking his left hand straight onto Floyds right glove and push it there. He knows Floyd rarely throws his left in the pocket unless it's to push you off first, and it's usually tucked to protect his body and chin.

Floyd must also watch out for Guerrero's game plan in that Guerrero will use a variety of tactics and will most likely treat Floyd like a puncher to reduce his accuracy.

I like the bit about the forearm. Anybody have a gif of Floyd pushing Berto back and landing those uppercuts off the ropes?

Also you think Floyd will hang back the whole fight? He's only ever fought a southpaw on the backfoot against Ortiz, and even then it wasn't the whole time.

Floyd's best strategy would be to punch Guerrero in the mouth. Hard. Interestingly enough, that should also be Guerrero's plan.

Hell, that should be every fighters plan.
