Foremans biggest downfall was his stamina, and I would think that Foreman coming in heavier would affect his stamina even more. Foreman was a great fighter in his prime, that was until you took him past 6/7 rounds and then he became quite mediocre with no defense.

George's biggest downfall was his mind. Ask him, he will tell you. Why do you think Ali had it all over him. He lost before it started. Although he did tell me that he nor anyone else on that night would have beaten Ali. So i'll shut up now.

If Foreman had improved his stamina, who is to say it wouldn't have cost him power?

Up until he met Ali he was 40-0 and nearly all by KO. Do you think Foreman should have tried to outbox Ali for 15 rounds?

The only way Foreman was ever going to beat Ali, and most people thought he would, was by knocking him out. George would have knocked out just about any other heavyweight on the planet that night. But Ali was not only a tactical genius, he was as hard as hell and could take a punch too.

In his comeback he weighed in at 240 a few times and looked great. But he was 260 for some of them fights and was just a tank!

Foreman got tired in 1 fight in his prime and suffer a heat stroke vs Jimmy Young so apparently that makes your stamina **** right? Wait or is that because what you people heard so you repeat the same thing over and over.

Ali got lucky. He laid against the ropes and prayed Foreman would punch himself out. How is that a plan now? There was no rope a dope. That is just Ali being Ali the fight. Years later he admitted his plan was to stick and move but Foreman was a too quick at cutting off the ring. Ali also stated as long as Foreman had his strength there was nothing he could do and Foreman's power hurt him various time early but he would hold on until he head cleared up and then ask Foreman is that the best he could do.

    Foreman's massive ego beat him.

If he fought today or in the 90s he would be heavier

Yeah Ali was kicking Foreman's ass by laying on the ropes and on that note you get ignored like other idiots that don't know boxing. Foreman was the aggressive, landing more punches but some how Ali was winning. Foreman's ego had him to believe he couldn't lose. He fought stupid and lost.

No, Hulk Hogan in his prime was closer to 6'6 or 6'7; he was a big, massive man. But over the years the Hulkster has shrunk due to numerous back and neck surgeries and injuries.

Forman was not drained, he says himself the fatigue was mental.

By the way, George Forman--6'3", not the 6'4" he is said to be since comeback.

Forman always got tired in younger days, even in his Olympic win in Gold medal bout he was winded in 2nd round, just out powered opponent though, He fell apart in any fight past 5 rounds, agaisnt Peralta he almost got ko'd from being tired.

Hogan himself says he was 6' 7" in his prime and the various operations since have taken an inch or 2 off him.
