    I'm surprised half of you are boxing fans.
    Ridiculous stoppage, especially for a title fight.

    You think every fighter is some wimpering baby forced into the ring?

    Maybe there are some warriors in boxing who don't need to be protected by referees.

    Agree.

    I was sure he'd win but not like this. Showed good power and while I questioned his stamina, he pulled out the winning, fight stopping punches while he was (in my opinion) slightly gassed.

    Tough break for PDL. Type of fighter that makes the sport great.

    Props to Mares for winning in impressive fashion, but that was definitely a premature stoppage. Nady's horribly inconsistent...he nearly allowed Trinidad to decapitate Vargas in the 12th, and yet he pulls the trigger way too soon on other occasions.

    Ponce De Leon disagrees with the stoppage.

    He says he got overconfident and thus hit the deck a few times but that he took the lion's share of the other rounds.

    He says he protecting himself when Mares threw the final flurry of right hands.

    He says he definitely wants a rematch.
