    What a ****ing little beast, a bit early stoppage but the ref saved PDL from himself he would have gotten owned, mares was finding him with ease. probably like 10 unanswered right hands even though PDL was thorinw and not landing that was his warrior self not going down without a fight a TRUE mexican warrior!

    Mares had me worried for a second cuz he couldnt gdt away from the left but he still looked explosive as he fired combinations in spurts. That shot that put PDL down was spectacular. Stoppage was a bit premature but Mares broke that jaw it looked like. Mares is the truth, easily one of my favorite fighters and a true p4p great fighter.

    I considered Mares to be the third best in 122 division out of Mares/Rigo/Donaire, but every time he fights he comes in with a great game plan and brings something to the fight that you just wouldn't expect from him, he always finds a way to win. Very hard guy to bet against cos you just never know what he's gonna bring into the ring for different opponents, the way he nullified Moreno's double jab escape, the way he kept his hand up for PDL left hand shows how well he prepared for his fights. Damn I still wanna see him in with Rigo even though he said he wants to stay at 126 plus the GBP/Top Rank feud means it most likely won't happen sucks big time.

    Lol @ people JUST putting Mares top-10. No respect. Sh*t posters that are obsessed with power.


    Mares was always p4p above nonito donaire. While donaire was picking on midgets like navarez and 88 year old's like arce. Mares was destroying the bantamweight tournament and fighting the REAL best of the division, back2back2back2back.

    Little Andre Ward. No respect from the hype beasts.
