Why is size a big difference for Moore despite Moorer,Toney,Byrd,Spinks.. being middleweights/LHW but when it comes to Moore its such a big factor??

What they lack in size they have in skill where it's the opposite today.

 

6 defenses in 6 years with a 3 year stretch of inactivity and no Wills or Greb who won an official title eliminator with the loser Gibbons getting the shot. Volodymyr deserves more credit for his activity, willingness to face the best available opposition and his long term contender being his brother. I understand the comparison but claiming Dempsey's is on par with Vova isn't accurate imo.

He wins some and loses some... But I don't think he makes it through that whole gauntlet with W's in every fight.

Neither of these guys were sparked out in their primes at 160 pounds. Spinks be a old Larry Holmes a drug addicted Cooney and then got wacked out by Tyson.

Who did Toney beat at heavyweight? A washed up Holyfield?

Chris Byrd didn't try to go for the KO because he had little power so he used defense soemthing Moore didn't have, well he didn't have it like Byrd did.

Moorer was a light heavyweight for 1 year or so and won all of his fights by KO. Then moved up to heavyweight and won a title there.

Oops I ment to add Archie Moore was just smaller than these guys. Well James Toney might be similar but what did he do as a heavyweight? Nothing and if Moore couldn't take a middleweights punches then he is not taking a true heavyweight punches.
