Unlike Angel Garcia and Floyd Sr...who actually give good, direct advice, Reuben was just in there telling him to "hit him" and uppercut (which may have helped a little) all in all that corner seemed lost.
True...I could stick Floyds mouth piece in and tell him to go win. But at the same time, some good advice was needed in Roberts corner, even if he couldnt execute.

I think being a trainer for 8 weeks is one thing , then being able to communicate clearly in 60 seconds between rounds is another. I think both were caught in the headlights and froze.
he really is a **** trainer. look at any other professional sport, NFL, MLB, NBA and their coaches and managers. their jobs are strictly based on results so anyone at that level have proven to know their **** one way or the other. so what do they all have in common though? 99% are all calm, cool, collected and keep their emotions in check until they get that Super Bowl trophy or Pennant. the ghettoness of boxing does bring that unique character and i do love that but when you compare coaches across other sports, youll recognize whos real and who doesnt really know wtf theyre doing.
I thought it was particularly funny how he kept telling him to uppercut Mayweather. Well, for one, 90% of the time when MW was cornered, he ducked the first shot and turned Guerrero around. And secondly and most importantly, Mayweather always had the distance measured so well that Guerrero was having trouble landing a jab or hook, let alone a ****ing uppercut.
