go and look at the ortiz fight, although he was accurate, his timing had to be worked out over the first 2 rounds... also when Ortiz would have his spurts, Mayweather would not pivot, turn ortiz, instead he moved back in a straight line in a way that didn't make sense to me. Sure maybe his tactic was to do that, but that didn't look good and it wouldve been better had he done what he was capable of doing, like he did against other fighters in the past who tried the same times. Ortiz came rushing in with punches and Mayweather pretty much moves straight backwards, it wasnt like the distance was that much between them either, where it would not have been a problem.

I was under the impression that he wanted to be more aggressive against Mosley and Ortiz due to criticism and many mistook that as he "lost his legs."

If you lose your legs by aging, then by default they shouldn't come back- so last night....

Mayweather turning into a Hopkins.Safety first with no entertainment value other than his mouth and even that is getting old.Thankfully the undercard delivered, something Floyd can no longer do.

That's how Mayweather always fights. His performance and ability is sickening amazing to watch but sadly he's picking opponents that will be there for him to do whatever he wants whenever he wants. Hoping his next opponent will be Alvarez or someone relevant for a change. I love Robert Guerrero and he's a solid fighter but clearly inexperienced for someone like Mayweather.

He was more aggressive against Ortiz because he was an open predictable target. With ability like Mayweather's, when you fight an opponent that's predictable you can pretty much apply whatever style you desire. Mosley though had his moments in the second round but from there was doing nothing. If Mayweather didn't press the attack in that fight there wasn't going to be a fight. Cotto was a solid opponent that forced Mayweather to work.

Cotto was a punching bag there to be taken, Floyd fought a more offensive style that allowed him to be tagged more, Sr. came back laid down a better gameplan for Floyd that utilizes his reflexes and skill and more importantly tight defense to compensate for the loss of physical attributes.

Only if you're a casual fan with no appreciation for the more intricate aspects of defensive fighting.

Nevermind. There's always the WWE.Those of us who appreciate real skill got just what we wanted.

If Mayweather is fighting 5 more times, over two years then he NEEDS to fight those sort of fights.
