I remember a few years back, everyone hated Malignaggi. I loved him no homo, I think it was the Diaz fight after his epic speech that people started taking notice and realised he's cool as ****. This press conference wasn't that brilliant, he's better when it's in the heat of the moment and freestyles more, like the Thurman verbal beat down which was ****ing crippling for Thurman Broner is just terrible. His personality is just **** and the persona is embarrassing. At least Floyd made that stupid persona... He calls Floyd "big brother" too. The whole thing is cringeworthy.
Malignaggi has got a very real, natural persona, and he's very relaxed talking in front of people, so much so that he's almost borderline witty, which is rare for a boxer. Broner should just shut up, and buckle down, do his talking in the ring. I can't take him seriously at all. His "persona" is almost as forced, awkward and unnatural as Tyson Fury's, but not quite.
Broner just come across like a smart alek kid, making stupid comments he dont really understand and trying to make up analogies that dont make sense. Paulie bossed him here. Cant see him winning on the night but he will continue to see Broner off all the way up to the fight.
