Fighters wanna be friendly with every fighter. Look at Gabe Rosado, won his fight but gets robbed. "its all good". Should say **** him I won. Everybody hugging after a fight, touching gloves, Its starting to make me sick. Fighters are ready kiss before the battle even started. Nobody calls anybody out anymore.
You want them to act like thugs by screaming and yelling to entertain more dumbass street losers to follow the sport? Boxing is a gentleman sport and requires a clear patient mind to understand what really goes on in the ring. Fighters don't need to act like losers to attract cockroaches.
No I want people to make boxing exciting. The fighters today beside floyd are bad enough, some call outs and **** talking would be good. There isnt enough ricardo mayorgas in the world
They're not pulling punches in the ring, that's what matters. Gabe was right, it's not about the judges. I love when two quarreling camps can come together in respect. Seeing Angel Garcia stand next to Judah in peace was astounding. There is plenty of bad blood before fights. But you don't need it afterwards.
I think for fighters to gain a mutual respect after beating the **** out of each other is very reasonable.
I wanna see a fighter who doesnt hug the opponent after the fight and see the other guys reaction i like sportsmanship and i always believe you should shake hands and say like good game or good match or good fight but they dont have to hug and kiss and touch gloves every 2 seconds I understand what the OP is saying
As long as it doesn't bleed into the ring, I don't mind it. Mares and Ponce DeLeon were trying to decapitate each other last night, and they've been friends for years. As boxing became more and more of a niche sport, the participants have grown closer, almost out of necessity. Plus, a united fighters front without bickering a posturing, I think, will someday get these guys pensions, healthcare and other perks. It's overall a good thing. But I agree, I don't want to see fist bumps after every break.....ahem......Mosley....
Duran spit on leonard after his 15 rounds, not even 10 seconds after the bell rang! no hugging, no shaking hands. thats old school ****! so lets not say the spitting was accecptable but slapping leonards gloves away as he tried to shake hands after the 15th was over was classic.
glad Paulie M didnt be all quiet like that after the diaz fight, he grabbed the mic and bitched out boxing and texas!
It's a niche sport. There's no debate. Just because something is "available", doesn't mean that it's universally accepted or advertised. Boxing used to be on network television, it's just now trying to get back to that level.
I completely understand that, but in that particular situation, what would be the point in disrespecting Canelo? It was the judges in GBP's pocket. I never agreed you had to be a *****. Lol
